Great location and good environment

Clean; Friendly Staff

The hotel is near to night market, just 10 minutes by walking distance. The hotel is just right beside the shopping mall.

Good Location with very spacious room

The centralised location between the airport and tourist attractions
9.7
i am very satisfied with the hotel location and the spacious room. the hotel also provides great service with a smile and is always ready to serve you with the request. it has a swimming pool and a shopping centre which can satisfy your leisure and shopping needs. along the road, there is many massage parlour and the price is very affordable. there is also a restaurant across the road that offers buffet dinner with a cultural show. overall, it is a very centralised hotel with good service
Shopping Tip: Always bargain for half the price offered when buying anything from the night market and old markets.

Good location and service is commendable.

location is great

Strategic location for shopping and food. Savoured quite a lot of local food around the vicinity of the hotel. Had foot massage at one of the centre, clean and satisfying. Also went for body massage, cheap and comfortable. Will plan to come back to stay when I am in Siam Reap.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Must visit Angkor Wat. Try the local food. Great!

Central location

Convenient, just next to Lucky Mall
6.7
Hotel is well located, within walking distance to Pub Street, Night Market and Central Market. Also near to Pagoda and the Palace. Service wise, is good and was served a free welcome drink at the lobby while waiting for check-in and also if you have guests, the staff will voluntarily serve water too. However, front desk failed to pass message from my agent to me. Luckily, it wasn't an urgent one. Breakfast is also good but crowded after 7am. Staff has initiative to rinse my flask before filling, something I did not expect.

Pleasant surprise, wonderful location!

Pool, quiet hotel
7.7
we weren't sure where to stay in siem reap and thought this hotel might be a bit out of the way. turns out it's a great location and everybody knows where it is. the hotel has a beautiful lobby and the room was very large, the pool was wonderful minus staring at the backs of dirty buildings. that the buffet isn't that good, but room service fairly decently priced either way. the hotel has spa prices listed, but no spa. they will conveniently arrange massages in your room, but keep in mind these are double the price of walking out into the street for it.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: Partake in Le Tigre de Papier Cooking School! Small classes, so fun, delicious food and Navine was a great teacher!

Good value for the money spent

Good location, refreshing pool

Spent 3 nights at the Angkor Star. It was good value for the money spent. The halls were a little dark and stale smelling, but the rooms were clean with good air-conditioning. Beds ok...a little hard, but not the hardest beds we have slept on in SE Asia. The hotel provided extra towels and pillows when we asked. Pool was very refreshing after a long hot day of Angkor Wat touring. Lots of food and massage etc close to hotel. Right next door to a grocery store to pick up snacks. Within walking distance of plenty of markets for souvenir shopping. The restaurant right across the street has a very good buffet/Cambodian dance show for $12. Nightly I think...get reservations for good seats! The staff's English was not very good...but they were very friendly and tried hard to understand. Breakfast was good...simple but tasty enough!

deluxe rooms spot on, great staff, nice pool

clean rooms and quiet pool to relax in after a busy day round the temples

couldn,t fault anything. close to the temples, the night and day markets and pub street. a supermarket with atm machines next door. a peaceful pool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: contact george or email him he took us to all the top temples and cambodian night spots. if he invites you back for a spot of food, do it.

great rooms, service, pool and restaurant

close to the sights, bar street, day and night markets and supermarket next door

had a great time here. angkor wat and surrounding temples are well worth a visit. you could probably cram several in a day for but i would recommend a 3 day pass for $40 and relax by the pool in the afternoon. it can be tiring in the heat. we arrived on the overnight bus from sihanoukville at 7am and were pleased to find our room was ready. only saw a couple of breakfasts, basic but ok.
Nightlife Tip: it,s worth getting to know a tuk tuk driver. we had george, give him a call +85517624420 email boroum84@yahoo.com he took us to see some of the cambodian nightlife but if you want western try pub street

Good clean hotel with great service

Service

Hotel and room were very clean. Staff were extremely helpful in getting a driver for us to tour angkor wat and on the last day's airport transfer. Staff also opened all doors and carried all our bags for us. Gave us a really nice impression of cambodian people and their hospitality.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: 1 day for visiting angkor wat and the nearby temples is definitely insufficient. get the 3 day pass if you want to soak in the atmosphere and serenity of the temples. Be sure to get a guide for the temples, if not, it'll just be walking among really meaningless ruins and rubble. Its the history of the place that brings out the charm of the temples.

Always a pleasure to stay at Angkor Star

Location, Friendliness

i have stayed at this hotel on four occasions now. i have always found it to be a very friendly, clean and comfortable hotel and its location could not be better. located right in the main street of siem reap, it is next door to a relatrively new shopping mall with supermarket, pharmacy, atms and several other convenient stores. it is also opposite the koulen restaurant with its nightly cultural dance show which should not be missed. the hotel rooms are spacious and decorated with traditional cambodian furnishings. the breakfast covers all tastes and, although probably not as extensive as a five-star hotel, is quite adequate. the hotel is very inexpensive and breakfast is included. the staff are always very friendly and helpful.i will always stay at this hotel when visiting siem reap.
