Super location and friendly!
Location-location and the helpful staff!
Our first night after a long day of travel, the staff arranged for our dinner to be delivered and we ate on the rooftop overlooking the lighted Blue Mosque and Hagia Spohia. The called and confirmed our tours, arranged our taxis and drivers with excellent communication. Steps to all of the highlights of Istanbul and city trams to other areas. You will love it!

Excellent Location, Very good staff
Location, Staff, Breakfast
The hotel is very close (one min walk) to Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia, and a few steps more to Topkapi palace and Sultan Ahmet Square.... Very good view of Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia from the terrace of the hotel, I did some night photography. Staff are very good, helpful and communicate in English very well compared to other hotels... charming beauty DIDAR helped me and other tourists about the tourist attractions making the bookings etc., she is an asset to the hotel.... Suleyman Tutar was also very helpful. Downsides were the room were a bit small but can be adjusted considering the other positive points.

Staff, location and Room
We stayed at Armagrandi Hotel in Dec. Stay was great and suite room was very modernized. Only disappointed that the satelite tv channels do not have any English language channels (but its not the hotel fault though). Staffs were very friendly and indeed the location of the hotel was perfect - its 15 mins walk to Sultanahmet station, Grand bazaar takes around 20 minutes, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia is literally just 5 mins away. Everything about this hotel was great. Nonetheless I do encourage the hotel to look into beefing up its security measures. The back gate leading to hotel restaurant is open till 12 midnight - at times only one staff is stationed at the main lobby reception and no one is situated near to the restaurant or the entrace via back gate. Quite possibly, anyone could enter the hotel via the back gate, access the lift and go up to the rooms. The lift doesnt need an access card to specific floor level - thus anyone literally can access it. It is quite worrying that we witness this and hope hotel can implement some measures to address the potential security gap - to support its 4 star status. Ultimately, hotel stayers would want to feel safe and secure. Security shouldnt be compromised for sake of convenience or accessibility - via the back gate.

Perfect location but condition to be improved
Location, breakfast, terrace with blue mosque and hagia sophia view
Location was perfect with walking distance to blue mosque, hagia sophia, and sultanahmet tram station. However there are a few issues faced by us. When we arrived, we were careless enough to misplace our map and asking around is difficult. Friendly Turkish tried their best to help even when they are not sure of the location they pointed to some directions which may be wrong. Instead of 200m from the sultanahmet station,we got pointed to all corners of sultanahmet with our 30kg baggage!Be sure to get a few map printouts ready. The entrance of the hotel is very small,shop-lot like and one might easily miss it.But once you get there, it’s very easy moving around. We got the King Suite room with balcony.Traveled in end of Oct,weather was nice so we left windows open to get cool fresh air. But this is so not advisable,as the second day, lots of mosquitoes entered the room and we couldn't sleep well throughout the night. And something made the night worse,Our room is next to the electricity generator. In the middle of the night, the electricity suddenly tripped off and the generator started. It was so loud and we can even feel the room vibrating, lasted for almost 15mins.This happened 2 nights out of the 4 nights we are staying. For me, as I am having jetlag I was half awake during that generator "trigger" period. For others I think it may cause huge disturbance.I personally find the breakfast very nice, although they repeat the same menu everyday but the varieties are ok.I was expecting to place my laptop into the safe deposit while I leave the hotel, but the safe was too mini and can only fit a 10" tablet. The terrace view was superb. On days where I do not feel like walking around, relaxing at the terrace with both blue mosque and hagia sophia view made my day. We also manage to get photos of sunrise, sunset and night view of blue mosque. In turkey, hotels basically only provide soaps, no liquid body wash or disposable items (toothbrush, shaver etc.)
