Good location
Pros:Location is good. Room is big. Wifi strength surprising is good. Buses 401 & 401E from airport stop directly opposite the hotel. Many coffee shops and street food nearby. Super near to Kimberly Street where there are many street stalsl in the morning and evening. Also walking distant to Joo Hooi coffee shop, upside down museum and Penang famous Street Art. 10 mins walk to Komptar where you can take a bus to Penang Hill and Kek Lo Si temple. Cons: Hotel has no fridge and telephone. Wardrobe stink.

Great location and nothing else
If you're looking for a hotel that right smack in the middle of Georgetown, look no further. Almost everything is within walking distance. Having said that, this hotel is a very old one. The windows don't seal shut so ALL noise from the outside gets into the room. Fortunately for me, I was so tired each night from all the walking around that I slept like a log. I asked for a non smoking room. When I got the room, it was reeking of cigarette smoke. I had a bottle of Febreeze fabric deodorant in my car so I sprayed it down and got rid of most of the smell. Next day, when I got back at the end of the day, same thing again. I wonder....is someone actually coming into the room when I'm away and smoking? Amenities wise, it has everything you need except for a decent water dispenser. The one in the lobby tastes funny. Oh....my room didn't even have the complimentary coffee. I guess 3 in 1 cheapo coffee is expensive in Penang but that's ok. The parking is very limited. I counted about 15 bays including the alleyway leading to the parking bays. Since I was there on a weekday, I was able to get parking each time but count your lucky stars if you manage to get one on the weekend. Can't really fault the hotel for the parking though. A word of advise, stay away from the convenience store in the hotel. Everything costs double in there. Overall, if you're a tourist without my own transport and want walk around Georgetown, this place is perfect. If the location is not your primary concern, you'd better look elsewhere.
