Good location

Location,no aircon, small rooms
The hotel is very central! 5 min from red square! Maybe is good hotel for Russia since is hard to find good price hotels The room is nice decorated but there was no aircon and breakfast is very poor ! 2 pieces of toast and some coffee! If your a backpacker it's great.

4 night in Artel Hotel

We book a standard room with window. The room was very very very little (about 10 sqm), just the space for the bed no furnishing, in the bathroom no space to wash teeth with the door closed, we had no space for the luggage and we had to put it on the floor. We booked with breakfast included, it was really terrible because there is not a room for breakfast and you have to eat sitting on your bed (very sad), they bring you a tray with a cup of milk, one toast plain and some cereals. The only valuable is the location, that is beyond the red square but this don't compensate the other bad things. The cost (high) is excessive respect the services (null). Absolutely keep out from Artel Hotel.

nice experience

central located, attentive staff, nightlife
It is difficult to find because it is located not on the street but entrance from inner yard. There is no even hotel name on entrance door or building facade. However it is really art Hotel with modern paintings on the walls. Very comfortable beds on Japanese style scene inside of the room. Located in the Moscow heart, only 5 minutes to the Red Square, a lot of shopping places and restaurants in the same 5-7 min. distance.Club and good music right below your room in the same building lower floor. You can hear music even in bed and till 23 hours at night.

very dirty bed and bad ventilation

Centrally located
The hotel locate on the third floor without escalator or elevator, so you will be surprised if you carry heavy luggage. Bed is EXTREMELY not acceptable with stain on it. Room is badly ventilated , feel like suffocating.

Great location, value for money

Location, friendly staff, cleanliness
This hotel has excellent location with Kremlin, Bolshoi theater almost across the street. Although not for families and for long stays, the staff is nice and the rooms are somewhat clean. Beds could be better, and elevator doesn't work besides office hours.

Very Small Room

Location id great butIf there are any other good points about this hotel we did not see them.
We checked in at 1:00am and were taken to our room / cubby hole. The room was the size of a double bed - I am not kidding. there was absolutely no place to put our bags which consist of 2 carry on cases other under the bed. They said no larger rooms were available. As we were very tired we spent the night and were served a reasonable breakfast in our room as there is no breakfast room. We ate while seated on our bed. In the morning we asked for a larger room and were told there were none. We cancelled our booking and moved to another hotel with a much larger room for less money and a very nice breakfast included in a real breakfast room. Do yourself a favour and check out other hotels in the area. Other than that insure you book the largest room they have but realize you will be over paying based on the other hotel costs in the area.
