Excellent Decorated hotel - 10mins ride to town

decorations, location (sort of) and .. decorations
Firstly, the airport and the taxi driver misheard our hotel as ANATARA (the expensive one). So just make sure you are very precise and specific when you board the cab at the airport. Anatara is VERY nearby to Aruntara. The hotel although is located near the river, it is right smack beside the main road. It doesnt look very quaint from an external view BUT the internal decorations (especially front hall) looks amazing. Check in was very quick, people were friendly. Very boutique and quiet hotel, good for those who wants peace! Food at breakfast area was very average. Lots of ants running around the jam area. It however faces a river. The rooms were also nicely decorated. Bed was a bit hard. Liked the room generally. Customer service overrall was good. There was a Khun Sunny that was very friendly. Good for short trips.

Breakfast was terrible and hotel was untidy

Room is spacious and dust free
Sleep was fine but breakfast was terrible! We ordered according to the menu but they were not served accordingly (e.g. muesli with yogurt, but the yogurt came and muesli was missing; in the menu, there was stated cornflakes with a choice of hot milk or cold milk. We ordered cold milk but the cornflakes never come). When we checked out, we were asked to pay for 150 THB because there was pink stain on the pillow case. We're not sure why there are stain, and we're very sure that we didn't eat on the bed, but the front desk lady insist that we pay because the manager said we need to pay. Of course 150 TBH is not a lot, so I decided not to debate further and pay while my sister was still asking how they decided it was us that stained the cover. I was frustrated with the debate and stopped my sister from further asking and I think the front desk lady sensed my frustration and called the manager again. This time they decided I do not need to pay. I was surprised how a hotel can be so calculative over a stained white pillow case that can be easily removed by bleaching it. There were also towels everywhere on the floor, along the walk ways, etc. Not what we expected...

Boutique hotel with normal standards

view, hotel architecture and hotel decoration
The hotel was not full, but they gave me a room with no view (as it was blocked by a big tree). The room and bathroom itself was not that clean. Breakfast was alright but the vegetables (salad bar) were not fresh. The hotel has a very nice view of the Ping river and decoration is nice.

Great hotel for themoney

White Elephant Suite, Quietness, Value
Enjoyed very much our stay at the hotel which seems to be quite independent and unique - river view, relative proximity to night market and great rate for the best room "White Elephant Suite" in hotel. We requested the suite on top floor (3rd flr.) with best view of river and during the 2nd night of our stay, we actually opened the window and slept accompanied by the sound of the rain throughout the evening and night. For the rate of a little over 200 USD we paid, it could not have been better!
