good location near downtown
It's my first visit to Brunei. Trade inn is my simple choice. For 2 days tour in Brunei this hotel was not bad. Near reasonable price restarant. Nice fried rice. But hotel morning breakfast was too simple.

Staff was friendly. Good airconditioning.
Too far from city centre.
At the airport nobody could tell us where is the hotel's free bus, so we missed it and had to take a taxi. It was not cheap. The room was tidy but not too modern. Staff was friendly. Not close to the city centre. Suggest to take the bus. At the reception they organized a tour for us which was great. Breakfast was ok. Nothing special but was all right.

There is a small shopping center and a number of restaurants near by. There is a bus stop about 100 meters away.
The breakfast is poor and inadequate.
It is a budget hotel. The building is bit old but it is kept reasonably neat. There are no lifts. There is no swimming pool or gymnasium.
The rooms are reasonably comfortable. Each room has a split system AC, which works well. Other fittings are OK. There is no safety locker.
The hotel provides subsidized taxis to the airport and Sultan's theme park. The nearby shopping center is very handy. Bus fares are cheap in Brunei and you can get to most places by bus.
The breakfast is served individually. It is poor and inadequate. They give only two small slices of bread, a fried egg, two small sausages, tea and coffee. I supplemented it with food purchased from the shopping center.
Restaurant Tip : There is a South Indian restaurant located in the same building as the hotel. If you like rice and curries, it could satisfy your culinary needs.

Near some shops, food outlets, grocery store and toy store. Public transport ok, internet in room ok.
A bit far from town (not that anything is to be done in town).
OK discount hotel for a quick stay to see Brunei. Clean hotel.

conveniently located near a supermarket, a few restaurants and a very good bakery.
The Traders inn is a good choice for the money. It is a decent 3 star hotel and offers a few interesting amenities like free wi-fi and a convenient location for those who are not interested in the city center. Within a block distance there are a few restaurants, a supermarket and a very good bakery. Taxi to and from town are about $10 each way.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Proboscis monkeys and water village, a classic!

This hotel had a lot to commend it - It was Clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly and helpful and it is located in a good position not too far from the airport and also in a convenient shopping centre. Situated off the main road, it was also quiet!
It lacked a lift between floors which made luggage handling more difficult and would be unsuitable for wheelchairs or for anybody who could not use stairs easily.
We enjoyed our stay here and found it quite well placed to discover all the wonderful things Brunei has to offer. If we returned to Brunei my wife and I would stay again at the Traders Inn.
However, it is a Budget hotel and if you want 5 stars conditions be prepared to pay 5 star prices and stay at the Empire Hotel!
Travel tip : For fun go and see the $250,000,000 Empire Hotel!

We stayed in the 2 triple rooms(connecting type)which is spacious & clan. Remember to click on "Traders 1" to gain free access to WiFi internet connection. The speed is excellent.Nevertheless, it has been a pleasant one-night stay in this hotel with no problem of parking my car overnight. It's safe anyway.
The hotel is housed in a block of 2-storey shophouse. Guests have to walk up the staircase to reach thier rooms. Quite disappointed at the fist instant as only learn that the hotel have no extra bed facility at all.Altogether,my family have 7 adults(incl. myself) & 2 young grand children.
We requested twice for 2 extra pillows. Only aboyt 2 hrs later, the hotel room service boy came along with a pillow only telling me that he managed to get it from another unoccupied room. thanks for his attending service. American breakfast is included in our stay. It is very simple--a plate of 2 psc of hotdog, 1 medium fried egg, 4 pic of toasted bread & 2 spoon-scope of yellow bean in tomato souce. Free flow of hot coffee.

Friendly and helpful staff...good meals and service.
Stale cigarette smell in the room and staff smoking in the building ... also it is way out of the city.
The hotel staff were both friendly and helpful. Their ability to communicate in English was at an acceptable level. The meals were good, the rooms were clean and serviced properly. The air conditioning was very good but the cigarette smell in the room and in the hotel was not pleasant. This caused sore throats and runny noses.
Restaurant Tip : Restaurant Ilmi.

Rooms very good price no more than ครับ. All rooms fully equipped with large cooling air well not old people talk a good service. Beside a restaurant bread. A bus stop in front of cars waiting to walk about 150 meters.
Room edge wifi signal light. Early symptoms to a little less. Peanut butter bread pudding is just 2 pieces.
I think that this hotel cost more money for the city because it has large open rooms do not feel uncomfortable. It is also equipped with a cover full of convenience, such as wifi ครับ hair dryer, heated tv wardrobe.Air condition cold room is not. old. The next shop, snacks food reasonable. But from the little travel locations. Not a problem because the next bus to walk up the label was about 150 meters distance.
Hotel Feature Tip : Reservation should go before it will fit any room.

Clean portion of the price.
Difficult to move a heavy load without a lift
Price was assigned to clean. The place is far from the city, with plenty of different restaurants in the nearby supermarket is感JINAKATTA.
Hotel Feature Tip : Next to the hotel is negligent in any large supermarket, a list of hotels is also quite comfortable過GOSEMASU massage and coffee shop.

Friendly reception! ! Around, there are restaurants and cafes have free until midnight
SHOBOKATTA breakfast. Toast, sausage, coffee, tea
Women could travel alone. Taxis from the airport and 15 minutes $ 25 (uniform) IKEMASU. WATATTA at a bus stop in front of the big hotels on the road to town to ride the IKEMASU 55. Near the hotel, the fashionable restaurants and cafes in the coolingWas. Especially recommended is the cake shop! ! I buy the bread. Room is clean. Despite my reservations in one person, double bed, the room was for KUUINBETTO 3. Business, tourism would be enough.
