Good location. Close to bus station

Average, friendly staff.Just stayed 3 nights. Good sightseeing. The only disadvantage, far from restaurants. You had to walk for about 10 minutes to the nearest restaurant.

Worst hotel, biggest ripoff, no wifi

Worst hotel, no English speakers, paid for a Superior room and after showing me five rooms I ended up with bad one with no view window and no functioning wifi. The staff were VERY unhelpful and the hotel seemed empty.

Beautiful spacious colonial interior

They are in the process of renovation, so I imagine when that is done the prices will go up, for me it was good value, especially as they had double booked so had only VIP room left! It was on the highway side , so a fair bit of traffic noise but otherwise very comfortable. Helpful staff.

A little eerie but good for the price

We stayed here for 3 nights and were one of only a few people staying there. The place was a little eerie with so few people and a new part of hotel was being finished so had no one in it. But the rooms themselves were fine. The first one we had was a bit dated, so we swapped to a new room which was better. The breakfast was very basic but included in the room price. The staff seemed a little relaxed at times, but pretty quickly fixed our bathroom lock when it got stuck. They also have bikes you can use for free.

Serviceable, but a bit odd

We stayed for a few nights and it was fine, but probably wouldn't stay again, because it's...just...kinda strange. In addition to the heavy and imposing carved wood furniture, our room had an _enormous_ television, and a painting of a bare-breasted Asian lady. Neither of which is _bad_, exactly. Just strange. As for the staff, some are friendly and helpful, others cold and not-so-helpful. Bottom line: mixed bag, but totally fine for a short stay and a good deal.

Nice hotel - went during low season so was pretty empty and probably could have got something for a better price, but a good breakfast was included and the rooms were spacious and in good condition. Excellent location for the main bus companies. Lonely planet guide indicated there was a new annexe with swimming pool but sadly at the time of writing had not been completed (Sept 2012).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There's not too much to Battambang so the best thing to do is to book a local tuk tuk to take you round te sights - take in the Bamboo train whilst it's still running, tour the local countryside, and visit the killing and bat cave.

We needed to rent a car tob travel to Phnom Penh. The hotel arranged this effeciently and for a reasonable price.
Restaurant Tip:
Angkor Thom restaurant has interesting food

Evening staff very helpful

arrived very late after a bad boat trip from siem reap. staff in the evening were great so helpful , went and got me supper so i didn't have to go out.
i booked another night as i missed the afternoon in battambang, so they upgraded me and gave me free breakfast.

this hotel has all 3-star amenities and is in a good location for bus and boat transport. reasonably comforable and clean.
not bad (no complaints) but staff english could be improved, as could their service level for guests. breakfasts weren't great and the decor leaves alot to be desired.
