We had a wonderful stay at Battambang Resort. However they need to sort out the music noise coming from a nearby village as it impacted on our ability to go to sleep and woke us early in the morning.

We like the hotel simply cos it's further away from the bustle of the town area. The surrounding gardens were a nice break from the built-up town. Our room was spacious, with a huge bathroom, lots of space for chilling out on the patio that faced a lake. Do bring mosquito-patches, cos you may get eaten by mozzies, but it is still tropical, so it's hard to avoid the mozzies. The hotel is quiet and you hardly hear anyone or see anyone else, apart from meal times at the restaurant.
The staff were polite and extremely helpful. There is a hotel shuttle aka. a tuk tuk, they picked us up from town after dinner as well, so you know you're not caught out in the middle of town.
Although we stayed 1 night in this hotel, the staff were wonderful, they arranged for a tuk tuk to take us around Battambang for the afternoon.
I would recommend this place for anyone who want peace and quiet. Even if there were kids, you'd hardly hear them, cos the individual rooms are far apart enough to not here anyone else.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Ride the Norry Train, a must do.
And visit the bat caves, 30mins of bats streaming out at dusk was awesome.
Visit the Winery too, it'll be a slight culture shock, but a pleasant surprise....considering they even have grapes growing in the first place!

One of the best places we stayed at during our 3 month trip to South East Asia. The room overlooked the small lake and was faultless, it was clean and very well laid out. The food was good and the pool area very pretty. We would highly recommend this hotel.

A resort that is intimate and people come first

This resort is located about 10 mins by tuk tuk from centre of Battambang. At first you may ask why? But at end of their road (5 mins on free bikes) is real Cambodian village. This is the real Cambodia. The focus on staff here is amazing. We left feeling after only 3 nights feeling like we were leaving family. Each of the restaurant staff are working on their English and so like to have conversations with guests. This resort has great pool, rooms, food is amazing, and benefit of rural.
Restaurant Tip:
Make sure you try at least a meal at the restaurant. Gheko cafe in town also amazing

Beautiful without making you forget where you are

This hotel is beautiful without being too fancy, and is so relaxing. The pool is beautiful and we didnt want to leave. It may seem like a fair way from town at first, especially for Battambang which is very quiet at night, but it was fine. You can easily rent a moto or bicycle, and the drive through the village around the resort is the best part. They can help you organise getting to a circus show in the evening, and will provide transport.

Great location and relaxing retreat

A beautiful and relaxing hotel set in fantastic landscaped gardens and surrounded by rice fields. Just outside the main town of Battambang ( which is fairly average) the hotel is close enough to get out and about but off the beaten track, meaning its quiet and relaxed and a great location to switch off after a busy day.
The hotel staff were excellent, and arranged all our transport, day trips, tours and tickets as we needed.
The restaurant menu was fairly basic, but the food very good and the cost fairly responsible.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a tour to some of the villages around Battambang, the scenery outside of the city is stunning, and the local people very friendly. The Bamboo train was a highlight as was the circus in the city.

We commenced our three weeks in Cambodia with five days in Paradise otherwise known as Battambang resort,it was picture perfect after travelling by taxi having been collected from the airport in Siem Reap, (taxi was arranged by the hotel).
After a year of work we had found our piece of paradise in a moment. Smiles all around
We had ajoining rooms close by the pool, they were clean, with beautiful fresh mimimal decor.
We ventured to town twice eating out only once as the food, service & drinks at the resort were so perfect we never wished to leave.
It was my second time to Battambang this time I bought the family so we only did the bamboo train, Bat caves and saw the country side during this time.
Jan & Phary are the perfect hosts are always around each day and nothing is too much trouble, Phary will even take you for a local breakfast, she rocks up at 7am and off you cycle.
They have hospitality sown up.
The staff esppecially Sanskrey, Amara and all the wonderful boys have beautiful smiles & are always happy to assist with your every whim.
The food was possibly the freshest, tastiest food we had in Cambodia, and reasonably priced.
Breakfasts were a delight.
We were there on Xmas day and had a four course meal (that we spread over four hours having two courses pooside)that included Duck done to perfection.
Being a little out off town only made for the enjoyment of the Resort type feel.
We are in the hospitality trade ourselves and appreciated the hard work & service that goes into running a business to this standard.
We would highly recommend Battambang Resort and if possible we will be returning next year.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure you are in Battambang on a day when the circus is preforming that evening it was one of the highlights of our trip to Cambodia, we saw both the children and another night the adults the children were outstanding and both value for money considering the cost to see shows outside of Cambodia.
