after a very long (9 hrs.) trip on the boat from siem reap, we arrived at the battambang dock to the crazy throng of tuc tuc drivers vying for a fare. the tuc tuc from sanctuary villa found us and brought us to the off the beaten track b&b. it really was a lovely welcome after a long travel day. and we were told that we would have a "complimentary" 30 minute massage whenever we would like to schedule it. what a treat. they also offer free tuc tucs to town. the restaurant was very good although a bit inconsistent. one day very good pad thai. the next, not. the pool is great for cooling off.. all the staff was very friendly and helpful. a good pile of dvds was available for use in your private cottage which is a good size with a great bathroom. internet was spotty.
