you pay for what you get

. Whilst the room looked clean and was in OK location (to the side of the town about a 5 min walk to the river) we did have a few issues. Firstly we were on the top floor no lift so had to walk... anyone who has been to Cambodia in April/ May knows how crazy hot it can get! On the plus side we had an amazing view over Kampot. Bed was OK (hard but I'm use to this). Facilities in the room very basic... bathroom is more a wet room. However we don't expect much for a budget hotel. Our main issue was when we woke up... my partner said what the hell is this (looking at a creepy crawley) we lifted the sheets ! We had been a bed bug buffet! We caught a few of the critters went down to reception and after about 15 mins of the staff acting we googled the bedbugs, all of the sudden they were apologetic. After a bit of negotiation they ended up refunding the 2nd night... I did feel sorry as they had to refund more than what there standard room rate was.

Over priced hotel
Staff spoke good english, house keeping was good

We thought this hotel was over priced. The room was very small and the bathroom tiny. The waste water from the hand basin just emptied on to the floor so the bathroom was always swilling in water. This was not a plumbing error... It was designed that way. House keeping was very good, we had sheets changed every day.
