Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

I enjoyed my stay here. This was my second visit to this hotel. When I arrived I discovered that I'd left my I-pad at the hotel in Kep. The girl working the desk called and helped locate it. The other hotel was kind enough to bring it to Kampot and the girl went on her motor scooter to meet him at 7 amthe next day and delivered it to me. That was above and beyond good service!

gloomy room but staff mostly friendly
5.7
the room they gave me was old and next to the kitchen, with only a small window right next to the water pump, which ran all day one day until i told reception. the kitchen staff were quite noisy during the day, as you might expect. the room was at the end of an unlit hallway.
there were newer better rooms costing $8 in gh2 when not booked ahead.
the beds were hard but reasonable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Pepper plantation is an hour ride away on a bad road, but the peppers are very good.

Decent Place
Hot Water, Comfortable Beds

Fine place to stay for the money. Clean and basic. Only complaint was that the AC didn't work very well, but the overhead fan was enough to keep the room cool at night.
Restaurant Tip:
Sisters II has great breakfast and breads/cakes. Epic Arts has exceptional food and provides employment/training to disabled men and women. Om cafe has a good selection of both Khmer and Western food. Bokor Mountain Lodge restaurant is one of the best food options in all of Cambodia.

The room was large but not that clean, moldy bathroom, hot water heater not working, so cold showers
Anything I asked for I was told no to, except to buy my bus ticket out of there. Way overpriced for the quality and service.

Beaut hotel with fantastic garden

I only had one night here at the Kampot Guest House, but my room was very big, clean and well appointed, so I wish that I had had more time to stay here. Fantastic gardens around and a lovely little town to explore. Will try and return some day.
Restaurant Tip:
Lots of good restaurants with river views a short walk away.

This was disappointing even though the buildings and gardens have potential. Worst thing seems that the staff see this as their place and guests seem to be secondary. Seems the nice outdoor seating area remained empty and lifeless, while two doors down the road and opposite were places that were much more lively. I wasn't really happy with this and moved out to another place.
