Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, great location, excellent staff who are efficient, friendly, and always helpful.

This hotel is probably my favorite in southeast Asia. It's excellently located, on the river in the midst of good small restaurants, close to major tourist attractions, and small enough to be personal. Best of all, for a frequent traveller, the staff remember you!

Restaurant Tip : Metro restaurant about 100m from the hotel has good food and wifi access.

The Amanjaya hotel is situated on the river and provides a great view up the boulevard. Is also located close to many nice restaurants.

I'd suggest they stop people smoking in the bar and restaurant and business centre

I fully recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Phnom Penh. The staff are very friendly, helpful and make your stay enjoyable. The location is great with wonderful views of the river and the boulevard. The restaurant is good value for money and the suites are very spacious and well laid out. Overall I believe it represents very good value for money and will be returning.

Restaurant Tip : FCC restaurant bar on the boulevard just up from the Anamjaya Hotel is a great way to take in Phnom Penh.

A calm, serene hotel in a great location. Guest Rating: 9

Location, I have stayed there three times now, so know my way around the area, but even for first timers its a great location, right next to the river, 5 mins walk down to the FCC for happy hour and a short ride to many great restaurants. Lovely staff, friendly ,competant, very nice decor and large rooms,it's wonderful to look out at the river.

Can't think of any, it is one of the more expensive hotels but it does deliver , and rooms are spacious.

I have stayed at the Amanjaya hotel three times now and have only had good experiences. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. The decor in the rooms and foyer is very tasteful and calming, the rooms are huge . The location is great, next to the river, 5 min walk from the FCC for happy hour and many restaurants. I would happily recommend it.

Restaurant Tip : The Foreign Correspondants Club is 5 mins walk, it does a happy hour from 5pm and is a great spot to sit and look at the river .

Good Positioning, Views, Service, Room Size

Wi-fi strength could be improved but all in all, it more than did the job. Reception of the cable channels are not great all the time.

Hotel in a good position where 3 roads meet, and on Sisowath Quay, which is a good tourist location. Close to museum, royal palace and where 3 major rivers meet. Definitely captures the charm of Phnom Penh. Wi-Fi is so important for travellers to be connected to work and family. The service is sometimes patchy, but definitely more than did the job. Food in the restaurant is good. The breakfast has more than enough variety as well. The bar is well-positioned for watching passer-bys. The room with balconies are a real charm, but I worry for privacy during the high traffic times. The free items like fruits are a nice touch as well.

Restaurant Tip : Not too far is a place called The Shop. Full range of breakfast, cakes, bread, etc. All made on site, and organic. The range definitely makes it feel like you are in a cafe in Australia, Europe, etc. Top place.

- Very friendly and helpful staff. - Excellent rooms. - spacious and comfortable. - nice breakfast.

no swimming pool.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks, they immediately found our reservation and showed us to our room. The staff were helpful and very welcoming and the hotel was relaxing and was a welcome escape from the heat and the attack of the tuk-tuk drivers. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel with a location that was perfectly situated next to all the bars.

location, staff, breakfast, room size.

lift is a little small and slow.

My friend and I arrived to the Amanjaya after a 4 hour taxi ride from Siem Reap. When we arrived, the staff was very welcoming. They provided us a nice iced tea drink and gave us the details of our room. When we got into the room, we thought we had the executive suite. The room started with a foyer that turned right down a long hallway. The bathroom was on this hallway and then the room opened to an amazing view of the Mekong. We were truly in the middle of it all. There were three balconies, and PLENTY of room. The wireless was pretty reliable, and the service was nice. The next morning, we got to breakfast expecting not too much. What we got was basically an American and Continental breakfast rolled into one. The food was good and it was definitely plentiful. Next time I am in PP, I will be sure to stay here. You should as well.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel ALWAYS has tuks outside, so don't worry about prebooking any tuks.

Location, helpful staff

Currently (March 2009)...there are major roadworks immediately outside the hotel.

The hotel has an excellent location on the riverfront and provides easy access to the Palace, shops, restaurants and bars. The staff are extremely helpful and speak excellent English. The breakfast...although not buffet style...is very good.

Decoration style is very beautiful, room service.

Location - near to the old temple.

The Amanjaya Pancam hotel is very beautiful and very cheap as five stars hotel. Room decoration is very nice, all furniture are very beautiful. All staff are good service and service mind. Anyway, you should take somebody along with you as this hotel is suitable for Honeymoon lover. Moreover, it workable for traveler as it near to the Palace and old temple where you can see old culture and architecture.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Temple and palace.

decor, location, friendly staff

construction outside of hotel made it difficult to enter

The location of this hotel is great. It is on the river, within walking distance of the palace as well as many restaurants and bars. The staff is friendly and professional and were able to accommodate all of our requests. The decor of the rooms feels authentic and the balcony overlooking the river was nice.

- Design /Size of the room: it has a double bed, large bathroom and a living room / Nice and warm staff / Very good location: you could walk to some of the main attractions. - Clean and good quality linen.

- Noisy, especially when I was there, road works were surrounding the hotel / Mattresses are a bit rough but it seems to be the standard in Cambodia, even in international 5 stars hotels I have been to.

Overall, I believe it's a worthwhile, charming hotel that would rank among the best hotels in the city.

Friendly staff, great service, large room, excellent location

There were roadworks going on outside the hotel, which made getting in and out through the main entrance difficult with luggage. However, these looked temporary.

The hotel staff were very friendly and English was well-spoken throughout. The rooms were large, easily taking a second bed for our two children, which was provided free of charge (although a mandatory breakfast for the children needed to be paid, this was a very reasonably USD5 per head). Breakfast was cooked to order rather than buffet. The hot chocolate was melted chocolate with cream...gorgeous, though not the healthiest start to the day! Great location. All of the tourist sites, as well as numerous bars and restaurants, were within walking distance.
