Great location,stylish hotel.
Rooms nice, but a little faded.
This is a great hotel for anyone looking for an alternative to the big luxury hotels. Very stylish, though the rooms do not have high quality finishes. Seems a little pricey. The location though, cannot be beat. You can walk to a lot of the sites the city has to offer. Try to get a room overlooking the wat rather than the river.

its location to view the boat races and the hustle and bustle of the evening strollers is perfect.
the hotel needs to improve its internet signal strength. also the included breakfast is a preset choice which may not appeal to all. they should allow a mixture.
the hotels location is excellent. however the internet signal strength left much to be desired.
the only place i recieved any good internet connection was in the restaurant or late at night in my room.
i was in phnom penh during the boating festival just by chance and i was glad for it. it is a spectacle like no other i have witnessed.
Hotel Feature Tip : the amanjaya was quite despite the racket outside.
a number of hotels have paper thin walls hence no privacy.

Beautiful rooms. Great location!
My wife and I stayed at the Amanjaya for two nights a few weeks ago and loved it there. The service was very professional. The rooms were beautiful (and huge!) with balconies with amazing views down the river and towards temples etc... The included breakfast was also very nice, and was large enough to keep us going throughout the day! Highly recommended!
Restaurant Tip : The FCC down the road is a great place for an afternoon or evening drink.

premium location and room, service.
My room is still with a lot of cigaretts smell while checking in, might left by previous guest.
This is a good hotel with facility, room, service and of course price as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. In general I am satisfied with this hotel, except if they could make the room while I am not in the room, could be better.

Very friendly, helpful, fast service. Sunrise over the river...
The edges of sink looked a bit tired
We arrived from the airport and it was nice to receive immediately a refreshing welcome drink. Even though we were early, one of our rooms was ready. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are super comfortable. The decoration is kept simple but very nice. For breakfast I kept ordering Yogurt with fruit, followed by the bread basket which had pain au chocolate and hot croissants. And of course a cafe latte. (Which is not on the menu, but when you ask they will make you one). The drinks at the bar were fantastic. The location is great and we were able to walk to a lot of places.
Travel tip : Book a cab for the day, 25$, so you don't have to keep negotiating.

The hotel is well situated along riverfront, beautiful building outside, readily accessible by taxi from airport (all for US $9). Staff are all helpful and willing to answer questions and hints on best places to see.
Outside hotel are tuktuks for going around attractions which one can bargain price normally $4-6 dollars. No need to exchange to Cambodian Riels as everyone incl bottled water vendors accepts $US1. Our Junior suite room was so big and had all the amenities we needed. We had welcome cocktail non alcoholic drink for welcome. View of river front was nice. Cooling was great. There was safe in room. Polished flooring and they provided slippers. Included breakfast with booking was with restaurant adjoining. Choices between American ,Asian Breakfast were sufficient and great variety. Checl-in, check out no hassle and waiting. Our flight was at 6pm , after checking out at 12pm they let us use shower in unoccupied room after afternoon sightseeing to get clean and comfortable for our next flight. Thanks to all staff for wonderful stay.

Rooms were clean, well appointed and spacious
Fantastic rooms and good service with a great view over the river right in the heart of PP, idea if want everything within a walk away. There are loads of bars and restaraunts surrounding the hotel and plenty of taxi's, tuktuk's outside. The visit to the Killing Fields and the Genocide Musuem are a must but extremly humbling...
Restaurant Tip : The FCC is a must about 200yrds away

great location near to Royal Palace,
get a room with a view of the Wat and the sea,
the room is very spacious as it is a suite,
interior decoration is lovely Cambodian style
Great location. 5min walk to Royal Palace. Ours was a room with a view of Wat Oulum on the right and the sea on the left so we took many photos on the balcony. A walk down the road was a good french restaurant and also the money changer. We really enjoyed the Cambodian transport - a tuk tuk driver we hailed from the street took us to the markets and later return to fetch us to the airport all for only US$15.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a 5 min walk to the Royal Palace from the hotel. It is open from 7 to 11am and 2pm to 5pm.
Inside the palace do not miss the golden statue which weigh 90 kg and has over 2000 diamonds.

Located close to the main nightlife stretch up the river and 5 mins walk to the palace and silver pagoda. Beautiful rooms, very spacious great views. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Breakfast is great - it was included in the room rate. Great choices and big portions too. Free wifi access in the room and in the restaurant downstairs. Happy hour everyday in the bar. Reception helped us book private car and other tours.
No swimming pool or fitness center available.

The balcony view - once you get the right one!
Massive room with wonderful bathroom suite.
Delicious breakfast.
Rooms to the side have views directly over a building site.
Hotel is getting a bit tired/scruffy looking.
Watch you don't get stuck in the lift....!!!
On paper, this hotel met all my expectations from reading previous reviews. The rooms are vast and luxuriously appointed - bathrooms you could live in, huge comfortable beds, a balcony with possibly the best view in the city and a delicious breakfast.
However, the first room I was offered was not properly prepared, was frankly a bit scruffy looking and worst, had a direct view of the building works currently being carried out all along the river. On asking, I was given a much better room with the stunning view towards the palace and river that everyone raves about - but if it was available...why was I not offered it in the first place?
The price you pay (this was by far and away the most expensive hotel on my trip) buys you a big room, with great location and(as long as you ask for it) a brilliant view. I stayed in more modern and better maintained hotels elsewhere for half the price.

Excellent location
Nice spacious room
Good view
Great breakfast at the restaurant
Friendly staff
Good Internet connection
A bit too expensive perhaps
This hotel is unique in Phnom Penh. Although some of the funiture is a bit old, everything is clean and well taken care of. I like the design of our room (suite), very neat, very user friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there. However, I think the hotel rate was too high for our stay: I paid HKD1963 for two nights in July simply because I booked the room too early (two months ahead). HKD1000 a night for a 4 star hotel in Cambodia at low season is too expensive, I believe.
Shopping Tip : Take a walk in the wet market behind the hotel. Lots of interesting finds there. I had my rucksack prepared for 3000 Rees (= 3/4 US dollar)

Comfortable, well-equipped rooms, great location, excellent staff who are efficient, friendly, and always helpful.
This hotel is probably my favorite in southeast Asia. It's excellently located, on the river in the midst of good small restaurants, close to major tourist attractions, and small enough to be personal. Best of all, for a frequent traveller, the staff remember you!
Restaurant Tip : Metro restaurant about 100m from the hotel has good food and wifi access.

The Amanjaya hotel is situated on the river and provides a great view up the boulevard. Is also located close to many nice restaurants.
I'd suggest they stop people smoking in the bar and restaurant and business centre
I fully recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Phnom Penh. The staff are very friendly, helpful and make your stay enjoyable. The location is great with wonderful views of the river and the boulevard. The restaurant is good value for money and the suites are very spacious and well laid out. Overall I believe it represents very good value for money and will be returning.
Restaurant Tip : FCC restaurant bar on the boulevard just up from the Anamjaya Hotel is a great way to take in Phnom Penh.

Location, I have stayed there three times now, so know my way around the area, but even for first timers its a great location, right next to the river, 5 mins walk down to the FCC for happy hour and a short ride to many great restaurants.
Lovely staff, friendly ,competant, very nice decor and large rooms,it's wonderful to look out at the river.
Can't think of any, it is one of the more expensive hotels but it does deliver , and rooms are spacious.
I have stayed at the Amanjaya hotel three times now and have only had good experiences.
The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly.
The decor in the rooms and foyer is very tasteful and calming, the rooms are huge .
The location is great, next to the river, 5 min walk from the FCC for happy hour and many restaurants.
I would happily recommend it.
Restaurant Tip : The Foreign Correspondants Club is 5 mins walk, it does a happy hour from 5pm and is a great spot to sit and look at the river .
