Good location but disappointing room
The location is great, nice atmosphere at breakfast
6.3
We had read good reviews of this place, but the small, dark and charmless room we were given was decidedly overpriced - it was very hard to imagine how it deserved the label "deluxe double"! The A/C unit was on its last legs, and the bathroom was also pretty ancient. (Not even the shower gel / shampoo dispenser worked!) The lift was also out of order.
On the upside, breakfast was quite nice, and the service was very friendly, and the free WiFi worked ok.

Good hotel but some issues
6.3
Good location but crappy view unless you splurge for the Suite (definitely NOT worth the bill). Not value for money, normal room should be. No elevator, if you are on 3rd or 4th floor, major pain. Much better places to stay in PP.

Great location
location was great, staff super friendly

The only minus' in my stay were there was a strong odor entering the room but i think that was due to the drainage in the bathroom and there was no lift. My room was on the 4th floor which was bit of a climb but on the plus side it was near the roof top bar

Great location, across the road from the river
Close to plenty of cafes and restaurants, rooms a good size
7.3
Staff were friendly and helpful. Not a big range for breakfast but all fresh and well presented. At present elevator being installed, which will be good, if like us were on the third floor.
Pool not at hotel, you receive a voucher and then go to hotel around the corner

Great hotel, immaculate rooms and superb service
The room was a good size, very well decorated and had a large bathroom, extremely clean & well maintained
10
The hotel was fantastic, the staff were brilliant and the rooms were spacious and extremely clean. There was a good sized bathroom & the restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was also good
Location on the river was fantastic, great views from the rooftop bar and a wonderful atmosphere in the evening
The only downside (and some people may not see it as a downside) is the number of stairs that you have to climb, someone with any difficulty walking would probably struggle here unless a ground floor room (if they are available) is specifically requested on booking

Great central hotel in Phnom Penh
Good, large rooms, lovely staff and excellent location
9.7
We really liked the Bougainvillier hotel in Phnom Penh. The staff were lovely, really helpful and the rooms were good value for money, very clean and good sized. The buffet breakfast was good. The rooftop cocktail terrace was delightful. The hotel are currently installing a lift which should be ready soon but the staff carried our bags up and down for us. Although in a very central situation we we're pleased at how quiet it was at night. The beds were comfortable and we both slept well.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The rooms at the back are a little cheaper than those at the front and just as nice.

Charming and Eccentric
Beautiful river views (IF you have the right room)
7.3
A characterful place which we really enjoyed. There is huge variation in the quality of rooms with the "river view" option well worth the premium required. It's right in the right of all the eating and going out places in central Phnom Penh.
Hotel Feature Tip:
we'd also recommend the refuge hotel, which, they less central is a great option. very unique and comfortable - and they financially support an orphanage/school right next door. great place

Great location, very good value.
Central location, clean rooms, friendly staff.

We stayed for three nights at the Bougainvillier. The hotel is just across the river and only 10 minutes from the Royal Palace. Despite its central location the hotel is relatively quiet and has a relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are basic but clean and offer free Wifi access. Staff and services are very friendly and helpful. The only thing is that the elevator was not operating during our stay.
Shopping Tip:
Check out the small galleries around the National Museum.

nice, small, semi clean
safe area, nice view and pretty roof-top bar

Hotels in the waterfront area are more expensive than other areas. But, they are nicer and have better views and access to walking areas and more restaurant choices.
Shopping Tip:
Be sure to visit the local shopping markets. Lots of fun with the knock-off purses, great food and excellent 'street coffee'. The artwork is wonderful and keeps great memories alive.
