Very Nice Introduction to Phnom Penh
Location, comfort, firiendly and helpful hotel staff
8.3
I liked this hotel - I gather it's a little expensive for Phnom Penh, but this was my first trip to Cambodia and I was travelling alone, and I definitely felt safe and comfortable here. Despite the fact that I arrived a day late due to a cancelled flight and therefore ended up staying an extra day, I had no problems adjusting my reservation directly with the hotel. I agree that not all of the staff spoke fluent English or even French - understandably! - but there never seemed to be any difficulty finding someone on staff to translate if needed. My room was on the third floor of the main building, very comfortable and everything in working order including a strong and quiet ceiling fan, so I had no complaints. Internet connection in the room was much better than I had expected. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, though variety was somewhat limited, and dinner was great - again, maybe a touch more expensive than similar PP offerings, but the convenience was worth it to me - and I felt completely comfortable dining solo here.

Phnom Penh is a great city. Friendly and small enough to look around. This hotel is by the river and 5 mins walk from the palace and silver pagoda. Great location.
Shopping Tip:
Russian market is good. Restaurants cater for every taste.

The Hotel is at the River Banks and if you have a room with balcony you have a nice view at the river and can watch the
people walking at the Corniche.
Unfortunately the personnel was quite poor in English, however
they tried their best. The area of the hotel is perfect, because you are close to all attractions in the city and # Trikscha,s#
are in front of the entrance and quite cheap.
However the breakfast is nothing special.
Shopping Tip:
Try to get to the # Russian Market #.

Quaint hotel.
Nice rooms. Good location near the river.
9.3
quaint well decorated rooms reflecting the culture of the city. very close to major monuments like the palace. ideally situated close to the confluence of the rivers and affording a very panoramic view of the riverfront and close to very many restaurants.
as vegetarians, we could not find anything suitable to eat at the restaurant at the hotel. however the staff were very helpful in guiding us to a restaurant nearby, where we could get some vegetarian food
a beautiful buddhist temple is situated prcatically next door.
Restaurant Tip:
we went for dinner to a restaurant called titanic
( recommended by our hotel staff) on the riverfront where we could get some vegetarian food. the ambience of the restaurant was good with a greta view of the river.
