Reasonable value in this price range and if self equipped appartments are what you want then give it a try.
- Shopping Tip : If you are staying a while, try and get a regular tuk-tuk outside and negotiate a daily rate.
Cheap but nasty

Reception staff seemed aloof, not like most happy friendly Cambodian people we encountered.
A really interesting City

Everyone is out to get your money in Phnom Penh, tuk tuk drivers very greedy. Stick to your guns and you will get your price. We had a lovely young man called Keo who took the price we offered whilst the other tuk tuk driver kept calling out the price he wanted, even as we were driving away with Keo. I know it is a poor country and we ended up giving the guy more than twice the agreed price; after all its only a few dollars to us but quite a lot to them, but it is the principle too.
I struggled at the Russian market, outrageous prices compared to thailand and we had been there a matter of seconds when women beggars with children on hips started hitting us up for money. I said no but they wouldn't go. I ended up leaving and was followed all the way back to the tuk tuk. They made me feel guilty but you can't give to everyone.
At central markets there were better prices and I only got humbugged once as we were leaving.
Pon Loc restuarant has the most amazing Khmer food.
- Shopping Tip : Toughen up, it's hardcore here! And the most crazy driving of anywhere, and I have travelled around the world!
Away from all the noise

Our room overlooked the Cambodiana Hotel's front gardens and the main road - a pleasant enough view and not noisy at all.
Our room was spacious and had a kitchenette and plenty of hanging space in the walk-through wardrobe. It had a shower over the bath + a retractable washing line.
- Travel tip : The Cambodiana Hotel next door has an ATM in the lobby.

We were upgraded to a two bedroom apt which was great since we were traveling with a teenager.
- Hotel Feature Tip : I forgot my voucher from Agoda for the hotel and they had a business center on site. I was able to contact Agoda and print out the voucher there.
