We thoroughly enjoyed our couple days at the Phnom Penh InterContinental Hotel. The service was excellent! We have found the Cambodian people to be very gracious hosts always trying to predict and take care of your needs. The hotel is clean and well run in all areas. Our room was spacious and up-to-date with every amenity. The downstairs deli was great for snacks and light meals and the restaurant served a wonderful buffet breakfast.
Shopping Tip:
There is not a lot of shopping near to the hotel but taxis are inexpensive and the hotel offers free shuttle service to several of the nicer shopping markets.

I thought the Intercontinental was excellent. I had a lovely big room on the 12th floor, king sized comfortable bed, lounge, desk, huge flat-screen TV, large bathroom. Room service and restaurants onsite were excellent. Pool area was charming, and the bar had a great laid-back feel. It's not as central as some of the other hotels but that's not really important when you can hop in a tuk tuk for next to nothing and head in to the riverside area.

You can't go wrong with the Intercon chain ! Good taste certainly is synonymous with this name.
Travel tip:
There is nowhere else to stay in Phnom Penh.

If you are an Intercontinental Ambassador. you get free room upgrade, free breakfast, free internet. Otherwise, everything comes with a price. And never try the concierge services. Just call a 24h metered taxi.
Generally, The staff are generally friendly and helpful.
I think for the price, internet access should be free.

Nice room and accomodations. Meals were excellent and a widely assorted menu. Fitness facilities were good. Only cpmpalint is location 4-5 kilomreters from Riverside restaurants and shopping.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
5-6 kilometers from the shopping and restaurant area on the Mekong River
