The gardens around the pool are kept well and the leafy green foilage helps you feel cool when laying beside the pool. The rooms are a good size and neat tidy and clean with a comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful.
Renovations were being undertaken during our stay, (hotel is being extended) but they did not impact on us in any way.
The Juliana hotel was well known to locals within Phnom Penh which made it very easy to arrange travel with taxi's/tuk tuks. Location is on the edge of the city but not far from shops/markets. Tuk tuks costing only $2-$3 dollars to travel to shops restaurants. Hotel food is good and reasonably priced. The staff were excellent and the rooms appear to have been renovated recently and are quiet modern and furnishings appear to be new.We enjoyed the boutique feel of the Juliana
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Travel to Killing Fields and Genocide Museum is easy from Juliana.

comfy beds, clean room, no smoke smell, good pool, breakfast was good with plenty of choice
was a bit further away than we expected, you are a sitting duck for tuk drivers.
it is in a bit of a back street but we still walked plenty, staff and facilities were all good, not much you can do about the views of rusty roof tops or back alleys. Overall excellent value for money for a short stay (we stayed 2 nights), we would stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : definately agree price with tuk drivers before you start, walk around the corner to get better deals.

Big, comfortable room, cheapish massage on site
Some distance from riverfront.
The staff were very friendly and efficient. It is a bit far from town but we stayed here on return from Siem Reap for a night and went to the Killing Fields before heading off to the airport and it was closer to both of those. There is a great steamboat restaurant on the corner close to the hotel. We spent the last of our USD on a massage in the hotel and for $15USD for two hours you can't go wrong.
Restaurant Tip : Try the steamboat on the corner just up from the hotel. Forgotten the name but you can't miss it, 2 storey bright coloured place, "Suki" something.

The Juliana is a very cozy hotel with good food and a nice pool. The foot massage was great also.
Location- away from the main part of town, but this could be a plus for some.
Exercise room opens late. They could open it at 6-7 AM instead. Also the pool closes early at 8.
We stayed with friends from the US and had a wonderful time together. The pool is beautiful hidden behind the main part of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was very nice, offering a nice variety of Western and Asian food. The staff is very nice, speaks English well and will do all they can to help you.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are tuktuks and taxis outside the hotel. "Lucky" speaks English well and knows the good restaurants.

Deluxe rooms were very nice with hardwood floors, clean bathrooms, view of pool, and strong AC
Breakfast buffet needs more variety.
This is a solid choice for Phnom Penh. Wife and I stayed at the hotel on three seperate ocassions after checking out to visit other cities in Cambodia. We also looked forward to going back to our "home" hotel. Staff was very helpful and eager to provide a pleasant stay. Had the lunch buffet at hotel ($10) and it was pretty good. Dinner buffet was excellent, wife and I thought that it was well worth the price ($17). Agoda web site had the absolutely best price for the hotel.
Nightlife Tip : Mekong nightclub is one street away from hotel, directly accross Socheat beauty salon.

comfortable room, good dinner buffet, nice pool
standard rooms need updating
good choice for Phnom Penh stay. Rooms are adequate and comfortable with strong AC. Staff very helpful and concerned to make your stay comfortable. I was able to reserve through Agoda web site which had the best price for this hotel.
Shopping Tip : All day/night street market, head on Juliana's street (road 152) toward the main street (Street 169), turn left, and head straight to the next main street (Vithei Oknha Tep Phan) just past the gas stations.

The pool is wonderful, the room was lovely, service was friendly.
I only suggest that the spa and massage staff not take calls during massages. The wooden furniture in the room was beautiful but hard.
Staff were friendly and helpful during my four night stay. The breakfast buffet is extensive with juice and cereal and lovely local fruit, an egg station, Asian breakfast station and pastries and toast. The pool is *fabulous*! Long enough for lap swimming and large enough to accommodate a few lap swimmers alongside families and children.
Restaurant Tip : There is a Souki Soup nearby that is highly recommended.

standard 3stars+ hotel. pool was nice!
staff are all very very polite and helpful.
I was just disappointed about the sauna, sauna is in the gym and you have to pay for it.. so I didn't even check the size of sauna..
Room was okay, I expected more...
I was happy about the size of pool! Nice to chillout after the visit of town. the hotel was little bit far away from center, you have to take a tuktuk or walk(at least 15mins). The staffs are very polite and helpful. if the room is little bit more nice, it would be a 4stars hotel.

Nice lobby. In a quiet area. Friendly staff
Located away from the center. They overcharge to use the business center.
Nice hotel in a quiet area with a beautiful lobby entrance which makes you feel like you are in a five star hotel. Rooms are comfortable. Hotel has a "business-like" feel. Food in the restaurant is marginal, we would not eat there again. The buffet is overpriced and we did not like the food.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Travel tip : Book this hotel on line! The rack rate is a lot higher than what we paid.

Central location and general welcoming attitude of staff.
Only significant concern is the general hygeine of some of the dining room staff.
The fact that this was my second stay at this hotel suggests that I was satisfied with my first visit in 2008. I was not disappointed that I chose this hotel again and will most likely choose it when I visit again next year.

It has a swimming pool. Staff very helpful and friendly
Slightly old fashioned, carpet in main areas worn, wooden floor in bedroom in a poor state of repair, sound proofing of rooms non existant able to hear next rooms activities in full!!!
Overall I think the hotel was over priced for the quality of the fittings and fixtures. The breakfast was ok with a reasonable choice. The internet use was expensive and should have been provided FOC given the price of the room.

Great swimming pool and I had one of the best massages of my life here - 2 hours for about US$15.
Room smelled musty. The place is a bit characterless and dreary. The food wasn't great but wasn't terrible either. The internet access in the business centre was expensive. There were ants crawling all over the tea and coffee tray in my room - but the staff dealt with it immediately.
I was dissappointed in my stay here and switched to another hotel for my second night. If you do stay here, try to get a room overlooking the pool - the rooms on the other side have a view of a brick wall. The breakfast buffet was a bit sad and drab. The Thai massage is absolutely fantastic though.

The Juliana hotel was good value for money. Its is only a short $2 tuk tuk ride down to the riverside pubs and restaurants and the staff are very helpful. The only bad things are the slw internet which you have to pay for and the breakfast isn't very exciting. And occasioanlly the power goes out but the problem is always rectified in a short time.
Hotel Feature Tip : Never pay more than US $2 for a tuk tuk ride. The tuk tuks out the front of the hotel are quite useful.

This hotel is suitable for a short stay. I used to go to the restaurant for lunch when I lived in Phnom Penh 1994-1997. It has changed a lot since then. The room smelled like smoke, was too warm, and the pillow was as hard as a rock. But the breakfast was good and the staff who served at breakfast were friendly and did a good job. I didn't swim in the pool but it looked nice.
