'Great Roof Top Sitting Area'

we enjoyed our 3 nights at the king grande boutique. the sunsets and sunrises from the roof top patio were great. our standard room was a little small but adequate. we found being continually asked for a tuktuk ride as soon as we exited the hotel a little annoying after a couple days though.
Restaurant Tip:
The FCC Club is less than a 10 minute walk but make a reservation if you want outside seating. There are plenty of great restaurants on Bar Street which is also a decent walk.

the hotel is located near the big cambodiana and the royal palace, so it's very walkable to restaurants and tourist sites. the breakfast buffet offers decent selection of food and the pool is well kept. the only complain is that the sound from the huge power generator for the posh suki restaurant across the street is deafening.

Really enjoyed the stay. Suited our needs perfectly. We managed to walk to many of the tourist areas, including the Riverfront and the Royal Palace. The rooms are small, but they make up for it with the service and solid amenities.

Two pools, one is a great for sun bathing, the other is great for the view as you eat breakfast

Only stayed 1 night, passing through. Lovely welcome on arrival, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was delightful, nice spacious wet-room ensuite, nice view from 4th floor, breakfast was great by the pool, good service so overall our stay was excellent and would return.

We arrived at the King Grand Boutique Hotel on the 6th of Feb. 2013 and was upgraded to a deluxe pool view in the new wing from the deluxe in the old wing. The upgrade was nothing to shout about as it does not have normal sized windows and no balcony as in the old wing, but the room was modern and quite nice. There is a swimming pool at the ground floor where normal breakfast was served and the atmosphere was good. On the rooftop there is another swimming pool but it's smaller and only good for soaking. The view of the surrounding area was great. Wi-fi at the lobby was free. The staff were generally friendly and put on a smile.
Now for the down side, there were lots of mosquitoes and flies. Wish they could get rid of all these. This is a common problem everywhere in Cambodia. They must do something about this problems, as we like many are sensitive to these insects. Worst of all, outbreak of disease could occur.
To book the Giant Ibis bus to Siem Reap it costs USD 15 at the hotel, but if book at tour agents along the street it's only USD 12.
