Quaint hotel with good staff
Quaint hotel, good staff, nice rooms
7.7
The staff were pleasant and helpful. They were keen to look up information we wanted and arrange bookings. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The old style building has been done up with some quaint painted decorations on the room walls, which complements the style of the hotel.
We ate breakfast in the hotel, which was simple and adequate. We met the manager and she was always suggesting things we can do and the best way to get around Phnom Penh and save some money. She seemed in tune with what travellers want and the advice was appreciated.
Internet was fast and connection was easy.
The hotel does have 4 floors (in addition to the ground floor level) and no lift, so if you can specify a lower floor when booking, this might be better - although probably cheaper rates are given for higher floors.
The pool looked nice and clean, although we did not swim.
Room Tip: Perhaps choose a lower room if you have trouble with stairs.

SLightly disappointing pool area
Close to the momument and river area
6.3
We stayed here for a few nights and booked as it had a pool, we wanted to relax and sit in the sun by a pool. Unfortunatly the pool area was shaded and quite cold all day due to the huge wall, the pool was also small and there were only about 4 sun loungers so very limited. When we asked the staff when the pool got the sun they said now and we looked out and it was fully shaded.
Overall the rooms were fine and the rooftop restaurant/bar area was quite nice and got a nice breeze. Again it would have been great it this had some form of outside space for people to sit but it didnt.

it's a nice boutique hotel in phnom penh. location is quite convenient, it's close to most tourist attractions. i was booked for a standard double room and asked for hotel transfer from the airport. however, the hotel forgot to organize the transfer. the service recovery was good, they offered to pay my taxi ride from the airport and upgraded me to a deluxe double room. the room nice, it faces the pool in front of the hotel. the bed is super comfortable. big rooms. all the tv cable channels available. the service staff was helpful - helped me to organized an all-day taxi transportation to all the sight-seeing sites. the only thing is the bathroom is getting a bit old and needs a to be renovated.

Fantastic hotel, great location and rooms
Clean rooms and bathrooms

Definitely the pick of the hotels in Phnom Penh in 2012. The rooms are great, beds super comfortable, air-con quiet, breakfast selection fantastic and staff attentive but casually cool about things including helping you find a tuk tuk or shops nearby.
