I always stay at the Ohana Hotel when I am in Phnom phen . The location near the Mekong and many restarants and shops makes it a pleasure . The staff is always very helpful .

I really liked the location, right by the river, and next to one of the city's markets. We got a balcony room, and I am so glad we did. That made the room even better. The breakfast was good -- about average for our stays in SE Asia, but I loved that it was on the 6th floor, and had an outside seating area with a great view of the river.

1.do NOT arrange for airport pickup via the hotel.they will charge you usd 15 when a cab from the arrival hall is only usd 9.
2.rm 314 stinks of mildew. The rm reeks of it. And the ac doesnt work. It shut off 3 times during the night and hotel maintence cld do nothing abt it. Finally had to change to rm 307.
3. Fridge in 314 didnt work. There was a pool of condensatIon at the base of the fridge.
4. Bathrobe is 314 had a huge yellow patch on it. Bath towel smelt .
5.the bed had a plastic wrapping over the mattress. So you rustle and creek every time you move. No mattress protector so the bed springs dig into your back.
6.the lobby of the hotel smelt like a loo. The cleaners mst have used the same mop they used in the lobby toilets.
7. There is a night market next to the hotel . The corridor smelt of fish because the exit door is left open ALL night. This night mkt isnt like the night mkts in siem reap that sell t shirts and hand made soaps. This is for locals, they sell fish and meat .
8.breakfast buffet on the 6 th floor is a joke. Fried mushy rice, pink processed sausages, very hard baked beans and some scary stir fried veg in chafing dishes. The table cloths were stained with food and food stains.
9. Taxi to the airport is usd 12.$3 more than getting to the hotel from the airport. No reason is given for the additional $3.
10. Stayed at lebiz hotel during our last visit and it was a castle compared to ohana . Should have paid the additonal usd 20 and saved myself a night of suffering .
11.location wise it was ok. Walking distance to the river side.
12.had dinner at bouganville hotel. Khmer and french buffet at usd 19 . Worth the $.
13.had buffet dinner at sofitel .usd 30 each. V good selection of dishes , both khmer and international.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
1.central mkt closes at 5pm. It is relatively close to the hotel.
2.russian mkt is a gd 20 min tuktuk ride away. Paid usd 3 one way. It also closes at 5pm. Be careful, the gates close at 5 and u may be trapped inside.
3.night mkt only opens frm fri to sun night.
4.the royal palace was closed to the public when we were there. The silver temple was open . Tickets at usd 6.30 each. Wear t shirts with sleeves , a shawl over your shoulders wont do.

This hotel is located right next to the Riverside Bistro, right on the river front. we had a Deluxe balcony room that was a good size. the room was clean with everything in good working order. The bathroom was a good size with good water pressure.The swimming pool was very nice after a days sight seeing. would definatley stay here again.There are plenty of cheaper hotel but I got what I payed for and recommend this hotel to everyone.
Restaurant Tip:
The Riverside bistro is next door and has great food, friendley staff and cold beer. my favorite plce in Pnomh penh

Hotel is very dimlit lit, rooms are not in the best condition as is the swimming pool. Good place to stay if you are out most of the time visiting the Phnom penh attractions but not as a place for relaxing. Fair value for money.

Stayed at the hotel for 3days. Overall good experience at the hotel. Quite spacious room, with bathtub and free wifi in the room. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Like the location as is quite near to the temple and other places of interest. There are several cafes/ restaurants nearby the hotel too.

I was disappointed on this occasion with Ohana. Staff were indifferent to your needs. Wi fi not working, hot mater was not hot, safe not working and the handyman fairly clueless. I expect better from a hotel that purports itself to be four star. Place upsatirs on public areas is looking tired if not worn out.
Noisy from other guests on landings and in rooms. Foreigners bringing in girls from the outside and letting everyone know it as well!!
