The hotel is ok and the staff is ok. But it is a bit far from the center, should be closer to the river. The area is not nice. I would take hotel with better location next time visiting Phnom Penh. The restaurants very not good at all in the hotel.

Good choice by many reasons
good service level and value for money
9.3
we were absolutely satisfied by this choice.good value for the money. good complex to offered services ( w-f included). polite , attentive to clients and english speaking staff. good rooms : clear, big, comfortable, well - equiped. no problems with hot water and other similar problems.location is be consedered as well from the point of view of the acces the signoficant points ( 178 street , river side, markets , shopping...you can get all this points by foot ) . as caption objections i could mention the difficult acces ( difficult to find and no lift from the street to hotel 's enter and the presence the rooms w/o windows.) but it is compensated with raisonable price.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Acces to hotel is not very comfortable but it is not serious problem for non - invalids and old people . The rest of service complex is on very good level.
Though , there are some rooms w/out windows .Is it important to you, pau in attention at checking -in.

Outdated and very poor amenities
Cheap rooms, remember, you get what you pay for
5.3
It wasn't awful but it wasn't great. Pictures looked much better than it was in real life - dated, not well maintained and not super clean either, I just didn't feel comfortable.
Tuk tuk driver also made me pay extra to drive me up the multi-level carpark ramp. First he took me to the wrong hotel and then when he "realised" which one I meant asked for more money for the distance and more again for the ramp.
Back to the hotel: location was not great, even without the ramp. I arrived at night and went to find something to eat. Only time I have felt really unsafe in Cambodia and Vietnam and I often wander around at night by myself. Poorly lit, smelly, rubbish everywhere, and constantly stepping over it along the footpath. The whole place felt seedy.
Wouldn't recommend it for a long stay, fine if you can get the rooms really cheap I guess.

The hotel is ok! Its a abit far from the river where everything is!
You have to walk down a spiral ramp for the car park because the inside stairs there was a lady not letting anyone go down them! Its not a well known place and you have to walk through a food court which everytime we went through it it was dead and the staff looked very bored(like noone had been in to eat in weeks maybe evern months, no joking)
clean room on the upside

Ok hotel, a bit shabby, a bit out of it
6
The hotel was a bit weird. It was on top of a market, a fair way away from the river, $2 on tuk tuk or 20min walk. We seemed to be the only people in this giant hotel. The Orussey had an eerie atmosphere and is pretty run down. The health center isn't in the hotel itself, it's downstairs on the carpark

Interesting location, nice rooms for price
Above a market, good price
7.7
make sure you communicate to your taxi driver exactly where you want to go. ours took us to the russian market first. many find it confusing that the hotel is above a market.
i think it's a fun feature - that the hotel is above a market

the hotel is on the 3rd floor above the orusset market.
the entrance is difficult to locate. many tuktuks and mini buses do not go up to the carpark to pick you.
the staff is very friendly but have little knowledge of day tours or do not really have contacts of tour agents
apart from that, its a steal for the condition of the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
The street just outside the hotel becomes a food/supper fiesta in the night. no problems about finding food at your doorstep

Not a great location, and aged un-gracefully
5
This one was a big disappointment - looked great on the photos but up close it has aged badly, didn't feel good to stay in, not that it was terribly unclean, but it didn't feel clean or cared for. To be fair I was only there one night on the way from Siem Reap to Saigon but really disappointed. Also the location is bad - up about 3 levels of car park ramp above the markets. Taxi charged extra to drive up there or if you walk with heavy bags its a long way. The area at night is seedy, smelly, trash everywhere, and dark - had a bad feel to it. Stayed here to keep away from the noisey docks but wish I hadn't now. Really can't recommend this one, not because of the staff, they were very friendly, just didn't like it, sorry!

Great Location in Phnom Penh
7
Orussey hotel is well situated, close to all major attractions in Phnom Penh! there is a food court area with cheap food and a great massage parlour! it was a random place to get to though as it is in a center and you have to go up a large ramp to get there! it also has a gym and steam room!
