Come for business. Convenient to go around town. Near everything and going to riverside by tuktuk takes around 5 mins ($2). Will definitely stay here again.

Very convienience as it is located at city area. nearby hotel also have many Chinese Restaurant. The staffs very helpful. Easy to take tuk tuk at outside of the Hotel. If you walk, just take about 15 min Mekong River and Royal Palace or can take tuk tuk around US2 or US3 only. Along the River Side, there have many massage shop and cafe. very relax and enjoy there.

original impression was that this hotel is a good hotel with clean rooms, there were over 50 satellite channels on the flat screen tv, aircon was good, minibar was good, bedding was good and there was even a bathtub and balcony. however i was deeply shocked as i saw 3 cockroaches crawling out of the drainage when bathing. i did not take up this issue with the lobby as i expected it in a 3rd world country hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
check out the express bus terminal nearby to vietnam and angkor wat.

the hotel is in a very busy part of town, but once inside it is a very quite place.
Standard rooms are nice and have everything you would need ( including a hair dryer) and the deluxe rooms are large and better furnished.
Buffet breakfast is exceptable but not flash.
A very short walk to the markets , just turn left then another left and it is right there.
Cost of a Tuk Tuk to the riverside is about $2 USD and to the Russian Markets about $8 return.

I think the best thing about the Pacific Hotel is the great staff, front desk, restaurant, house keeping, bell boys, etc..everyone is helpful and full of useful information.

The Pacific Hotel is just opposite the bank, Western Union?, can exchange money conveniently and safely. About 2 mins down is a convenience store and 2 more minutes down the Lucky Shopping Mall, the location is great! Central Market and bus station is just opposite Lucky's. The food in the hotel is good and reasonably priced, too.
Travel tip:
Lucky Shopping Mall, great to hang out in cool air conditioned place while shopping and eating. The private car rental for day tours recommended by the hotel was great. SOMRETH CAR TRANSPORT, trustworthy guy.
