Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

I chose a room based on the Agoda photo.. intentionally upgrading to the photo of a large Landmark room with balcony.. tiny room no balcony. Internet was listed as an amenity, no fee listed, it was $10 for 30 minutes. Said they would comp the fee.. showed up in the bill and they refused to take it off. Phone calls were by the minute...
SWmoked salmon was gone by the time I got to breakfast the last morning.. "no more" I was told. And by the way this is an improvement over 18 months ago.. the bread is now fresh, the yogurt vastly improved..
Restaurant Tip:
Have dinner at La Residence, if your yen is Cambodian food, stop for Tea/coffee and pastry from 1 pm to 7 pm..
The restaurant has a story. The daughter of Prince Norodom turned his Palace into this restaurant. And it is wonderful. The house wine is perfect. I ate steak tartare that reminded me of a long ago Brasserie.. A Proustian moment... and the home is beautiful. I would read there bottle list at dinner.. Great Prices for great wines. Simply a delight

Another great stay at Raffles which is a stunning hotel in lovely surroundings. The staff are fantastic and there is really nothing that this hotel lacks. It could probably do with a bit of a change-up in the restaurant and the pool recliners, etc are getting a bit old but otherwise very few complaints!

the raffles in phnom penh is absolutely fantastic for a stay. you get a wonderful sense of history in the well-maintained building and the rooms are charming.
the swimming area is well laid out and inviting, and the poolside food and beverage services are outstanding. i wish i could have stayed longer!
Shopping Tip:
street 240 is good for shopping, eating, and there's a great spa called bliss

Raffles Again
Pool, value for money, staff
7.7
I love staying at Raffles and generally choose to stay there when I can. The history, staff and overall maintenance of the hotel make it the best quality stay without a doubt. The staff are excellent and very friendly and always remember my name which makes a difference. Little touches (like the complementary drink on arrival) are also appreciated. I have been slightly underwhelmed by the breakfasts which should be fresher and mixed up a bit more.

I had a great stay at Raffles this time as I was upgraded due to a small problem (hardly worth mentioning) the last time I stayed. Raffles staff were extremely proactive and I really appreciated the extraordinary upgrade. A great example of how to keep customers loyal! As usual the hotel was great, the staff very attentive and the whole experience was excellent. Raffles is without question the best hotel in Phnom Penh.

You're a bit off the beaten track and will need to become proficient at negotiating with tuk tuk drivers if you want to see lots of Phnom Phen. When it is not too hot, you can go to the river in under ten minutes and a world of possibilities open up. But inside the hotel itself, you'll find a brilliant pool that doesn't get too much direct sunlight, which is a blessing when its hot!
Restaurant Tip:
Make sure you book breakfast! It was the best we had in Cambodia.

We stayed for one night following travels around cambodia. The stay was very relaxing and just what we needed. Staff were helpful and ensured we made out boat on time the following day.

Housekeeping:
Bathroom has too many problems, shower stall leakage, basin stopper. Staff are courteous but too laid back. One morning I left the room at 10 am and came back at 4 pm, the room was still not cleaned.
Concierge
Staff are ignorant and kept telling me that I must pay USD25 departure in cash at the airport. The fact was departure tax in USD can be easily paid by credit card visa.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly - we were upgraded to a studio which was nice. Food was expensive and okay but nothing special. We did try to get some fruit for breakfast as we were going to Sim Reap for the day at 5am - but the hotel desk refused which was disappointing. But overall a very nice hotel

Not as good as it used to be!
6.7
This was my second stay and to be honest, a disappointment. Staff seldom greeted us, the reception area was frequently left unmanned, the buffet food selection reduced and staff ill informed.
The room was spacious but not well maintained. A wire to a light fitting was worn and nearly gave me an electric shock as it sparked!
Internet charges are exorbitant when one considers guesthouses in the city charging 20USD a room offer wireless connections for free.
I made a written complaint and the F&B manager didn't have the decency to reply until I reminded the staff upon my checkout and I received an email after I'd left.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The pool area is an ideal place to unwind and relax.
