Not a bad place to stay in Phnom Penh

We had a delayed coach journey and let them know we would not be there until two in the morning. Very pleased/suprised to see one of the staff sitting outside on the street waiting for us to turn up. Booked straight in and were in bed within about 5 minutes of turning up.
The hotel is 10/ minutes walk from the riverfront but all the streets around felt pretty safe so we were not worried about walking around at night
Had a standard room which was right by the reception which was an initial concern but in fairness we did not get any noise at all from it, in fact my snoring probably gave them more trouble.
Restaurant Tip:
Had a good meal in a restaurnat called Frizz at no. 67 street 240

Had a wonderful time with my family. staff were helpful, Internet can be obtain from the front desk free of charge. if you do not have a computer can ask front staff. The bathroom floor can be a little bit slippery, be careful. I think a tempered glass door can be fixed to separate bathroom and basin. The American breakfast served were great with a beautiful decorated mixed fruit platters. The swimming pool is just nice for those who want to take a dip and relax. I had a great time with my family going for a dip.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Tuk-tuk can be negotiable to a dollar. Make friend with one you can trust and will be able to go anywhere you ask him to bring.

Jerome the manager booked two tickets for Mekong Express for me, arranged
the tuk tuk driver to bring me from airport, take me around riverside and restaurant for $16. Jerome is a real gentleman and when I came back he even inquired if I had nice time in restaurant. The tuk tuk driver Roy was such a lovely man.
The staff, were very friendly and gave me a laptop to send a quick email. Also they were helpful changing my $100 dollar note.

Cons,
The hotel is not near the river and main restaurants so I had to take tuk tuk there.
I was not happy with my room no 3 as it was on ground floor near the pool being a solo female traveller. I had to close the curtains, otherwise people can see my room. I also mentioned it to Jerome but maybe the hotel was fully booked.
While I was in the toilet/ bathroom, I got bitten by mosquitoes. This really got me worried so I kept the fan on in the bedroom.
There was no soap on the bathroom basin apart from soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower area.
Also there is no tea/ coffee maker in the room.
I left at 7 am for my bus so I did not have any breakfast so I cannot comment.

Got a good deal on this hotel on agoda for 2 nights in Phnom Penh before I start my travels around cambodia. I arrived early, the hotel tuk-tuk was waiting for me. The room was not quite ready (as was 4 hours before check-in) but they got the room ready quickly but I was realxing in the pool side sofas and having some food so wasnt an issue. the room was very nicely designed, minimilistic, clean and modern and was very cool for a hot country (due to the concrete style design). had an Ipod dock whihc was a nice touch. Great room for price. Staff were all freindly and manager was helpful and gave some good insights. The pool area and atmosphere is excellent...I know some people think this is too far out but its $1-2 in a tuk-tuk to most places and always available. the location is fine

Really enjoyed my stay at the 252 Hotel when in Phnom Penh. The hotel is very comfortable and a nice refugee from the hussle and bustle of the city. Staff are very nice, extremely helpful, and always greet you with a big smile. The rooms are large, very clean, and get a very good Wifi connection.

Nice hotel in the center of Phnom Penh. The rooms were large, modern, and very clean. Plenty of Cable TV channels were available, with many stations in English. The pool area is very relaxing and nicely presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

beautiful & relaxing pool, lovely atmosphere the 252 hotel is extremely pleasant and excellent value for money, staff charming and very helpful. large rooms attractively designed, superb pool, an oasis of charm behind a strip of fresh white walls on the north side of 252 street. the air-conditioner kept temperature pleasant quietly enough, and the area around the hotel was quiet. like many phnom penh hotels, no elevator. lucky supermarket, best place for western-type produce is a 5-minute walk, as are two burger restaurants. several inexpensive (approx $2 per dish) khmer restaurants face the eastern end of street 252.

We rather liked this hotel, it is situated in a quiet street away from the city noise. It is modern in decor, it has all that anyone would need there. Our room was on the fourth floor, there are no lifts. Was not a problem for us though.
The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area serving food and drinks was a welcome oasis after sightseeing in Phnom Penh.
The hotel was difficult to find for our driver, the street name is crutial to remember. A detailed map would be a good idea on the web page.
We would recommend this hotel.

Realitively new hotel in Phnom Penh. The hotel rooms are very modern and well maintained. Everywhere at the hotel is kept very clean, rooms, reception, restaurant. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to accomadate guests. Rate includes breakfast and free wifi is available throughout the hotel.
