A precious little colonial boutique hotel nestled along the roads of Mao Tse Tung Boulevard. Fell absolutely in love with the decor of the hotel: first thing that took my breath away was its lavish lobby, along with its beautifully landscaped courtyard, pool, and sprawling balconies. Fantastic service staff with commendable English skills too. Only down side it the location; I honestly don't think it's that far from the city centre and major attractions, but for some reason, the tuk-tuk drivers never seem to be able to locate it. A possible solution would be to call up the hotel and let them guide the driver. It worked so much better when I did that.

The Governor's House is a really lovely hotel in a gorgeous old building which has been beautifully renovated. The pool and relaxation areas are lovely. The staff are also superb and really looked after us with great service, including a meal which we order to have on our balcony which was delicious.

A lovely colonial style boutique hotel with friendly staff; good food and a nice pool. Communication with employees was at times challenging; however the day manager and owner were very helpful and alwasy seemed to be present to ensure that all guests received a good service.

There is small garden with small pool.

It is close to big streer however inside of hotel is quiet. Furnitures and materials antique and classy. But room is a little bit small.
Restaurant Tip:
We can go to riverside by tuk tuk.

Staff is very attentive, all wishes quickly answered. They are good at arranging things for you, such as reservations at restaurants, and the ambiance is warm. I also like the more eccentric side , like bathtub and shower standing in the room, with no coversheet. You feel that you are pampered, I will come back and enjoy staying here again.

Great boutique hotel- would stay again

We stayed for 3 weeks. Enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. It was about a 10 - 15 minute tuk tuk ride to the riverfront. There was always a tuk tuk available or staff would call one- only a 5 minute wait at most.
