Great hotel with great service

Six of us arrived early evening wondering what to expect as we turned into the road where the hotel was located. We found a little gem, beautiful entrance and very welcoming staff. Pool and facilities maintained to a high standard.
Breakfast and meals good value. We will be heading back to end our visit if there are rooms available.
Don't forget to have a massage in the spa, great value

Stylish and confortable modern hotel

The Plantation is a relatively new hotel run by the same group who also run The Pavilion down the street (which is a bit more up market). The hotel is very well located for the traveller being near the National Museum and 10 minutes walk to the Mekong River front. But the hotel has everything you need, nice bars, good food in stylish surroundings, a great pool and spa and very nice airy and well designed rooms. The staff who all wear traditional Khmer clothes are young, friendly and helpful. It makes an ideal stop over for the tourist or week end resthouse of th business traveller. The only criticism I had was that they try to make you pay in US$ or charge you a money changing fee if you try to pay in the national currency, but will relent if you appeal to their patriotism.

Beautiful hotel with special touches

My fiance and I had a lovely stay at the Plantation earlier this month. When we arrived after a long, bumpy van ride from Siem Reap, we found quite a surprise in our room! Our bed was covered in a beautiful arrangement of roses and jasmine petals, in heart shapes. Our sink was filled with flowers as well, and we had a bouquet of roses on the desk, along with a cheesecake! All of the staff had signed a card congratulating us on our upcoming wedding. All of this had been arranged based on an email that I had sent to the hotel the day before, asking if we could have a quiet room as we were celebrating our anniversary and had our wedding coming up. I could not believe the thoughtfulness of the team to prepare all of this for us! This set the tone for the rest of our stay. The staff were professional, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely, and I enjoyed the pool.

nice hotel - not over the top but a nice get away from the hustle and bustle of PP. Only thing that needs improvement is the workout room - universal equipment is old and needs some work. Just adding a good set of dumbbells would suffice.
