Very pleasant hotel

Check-in took just a few minutes and included a nice welcome drink. It's nice to check in while sitting on a lounge chair rather than standing in queue at the reception desk. The staff were very attentive and always smiling. We had a very large room with very high ceilings. The room was very clean and well-furnished. We discovered on our last night that the powerpoint for the minibar fridge was faulty, so had to plug it into another powerpoint in the room, but it would switch off when you leave the room. Because it was not an issue, we did not bother the staff about it. This is the only hotel I have ever stayed in that offered free soft drinks from the minibar fridge!

Once an embassy, lovely building

My niece and I were both delighted with our room. There were excellent reading lights near both beds, the beds were comfortable too. We were greeted by reception and offered fresh watermelon juice and a scented cold towel... much appreciated in a tropical climate!
The pool was big enough to swim laps and open until midnight. The staircase in the lobby sets a grand tone; I'd happily stay again.
The staff also offered to pack us breakfast as we had an early flight out.

Nice Boutique hotel
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast, nice pool and docor. Conveniently located with good restaurants nearby.

Overall very present except that there was a small communication gap re hotel charge. No big deal though.
Restaurant Tip:
A very nice Vietnamese restaurant just round the corner of the hotel(right turn at main entrance its 2 min walk.

beware! this room is huge. With 2 queen sized beds and lounge area, it fits my parent and 2 younger siblings (11 and 16 years old) very comfortably. they simply love the room and hotel. breakfast is excellent too with asian, western and healthy options catering to all of us. and the le cafe has been very accommodating with special requests (like mango smoothie instead of juices, extra breads etc). my parents also had their very first massage in the hotel, reasonably priced though both commented that they prefer harder strokes. and all of us find the lobby area with big sofas very welcoming after a hot day out. what more can we ask!

White Mansion was our last stop of our three weeks in Cambodia.
We were greated with smiling faces, cold towels and iced tea.
Our rooms were hugh for Cambodia, they were clean and the decor was lovely, it was definately to be our Mansion for the next three days.
My husband was not too well at this stage so he was more than happy to spend his days in bed relaxing.
Located on St240 so handy to a few of the boutique shops and within walking distance to Silver Pagoda and the Riverfront.
The pool was small but very refreshing after a day of sightseeing or shopping.
Second time to Phnom Penh and if I am ever in town again I will definately stay at White Mansion again.
PS Free soft drinks in mini bar a bonus for the kids.
Shopping Tip:
within the hotel is a small gift shop selling items for wattan a organisation that sells crafts ect made by people with disabilities (cambodia has no health/support payments for people with disabilities)if you have time & ask you can get the address of the workshop (quite close) with a and larger sales room. they have wonderful things and are great value.

we stayed at the white mansion hotel for two nights and it was one of the highlights of the trip to pp. the hotel building is beautiful. rooms are spacious and clean. the fruit, cookies and minibar provided are all great. overall, a great place to stay in pp.

white mansion is a chic, modern hotel built inside the old us embassy. beautiful rooms, great pool area and great location - 240 st is a cool street to wander along and within walking distance of the riverfront area. the spa is very cheap and well worth a visit. the staff are unfailing;ly helpful and nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are clean and well appointed with attention to detail. The staff is professional and supportive. The children enjoyed the pool after a long day of exploring and were made to feel welcome. Based on the hotel, we wish we could have stayed in town longer!
