Reasonable Cost. Staff friendly. Room was a good size and clean.
Internet did not work for three days. The hotel is very dark inside and the lighting was used sparingly.
I stayed for 3 nights and my view is that there should be stronger management at this hotel. The door to the cabinet housing the minibar would not close and despite requests it took them three days to fix. Same with the internet. Otherwise, the staff were very attentive and the breakfasts were well staffed. Reasonable considering the price.
Travel tip : Close to downtown restaurants, market as well as the airport

Location-prefer closer to shopping areas
We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. Staffs were courteous, friendly & willing help (example at buffet breakfast, the coffee in the pot was cold; a request for a hot cup of coffee was met immediately and gratuitously). The room that we occupied was clean & especially the bathrooms were clean. Breakfast at the hotel was substantial & there was variety. Quiet & relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.
Shopping Tip : Night markets- lots of fantastic scarfs

Lovely pool area
Great food
Great service
Nice rooms
The rooms seemed a little old fashioned but were still clean and spacious
This hotel is not too far from town but stil requires a tuk tuk or 20 min walk. However, the pool area is beautiful, very big and clean.
The food and drinks are a relatively good price for a hotel of this standard. the breakfast is beautiful and caters for all cultures, also lunch is very tasty.
It has good internet facilities and staff are helpful, courteous and friendly.
It was more expensive to stay there than other hotels I've stayed at and considering its location there may be better deals out there..

Not so clean : mouse or insect in the room.
Not enough hot water.
The same breakfast for every day : no choice.
Not good breakfast.
No cambodian breakfast, everything succhared
Not recommended for staying in this hotel if you want to look for cleaning place, good food and good breakfast or cambodian food, hot water. Breakfast room dark, not enjoyed place, ... better somewhere else.

The pool was lovely and quiet, kept back off the main road
Although the hotel was ok and the staff lovely, it was a little too far out from town to walk in and back in the evenings. There is a taxi/tuk tuk rank out front though so it was easy enough to get transport. There was some confusion about the name of the hotel as there are quiet a few with similar names and the name written at the front of the hotel was Angkor, not Allson Angkor so finding it was a bit tricky. The rooms were a little old and musty, but relatively tastefully decorated..
Restaurant Tip : It might be a little crass to recommend the pizza in cambodia rather thanlocal food, but it really is worth trying!

Good breakfast, good service incl airport pick up, quiet, safe.
requires a 5 min ride to city center and restaurants.
Overall a good hotel, although you can probably get also nice hotel for less money. Room and bathrooms were clean and quiet. The Breakfast has a lot of choices both western and Asian. They organize a tuk-tuk to visit Angkor Wat. To go downtown, hire a motorcycle for 1 USD, or walk like 15 min.
Nightlife Tip : If you are alone, the cheapest way to go around is to hire a motorcycle that takes you downtown for 1 USD. Cheapest food: near the market, you cannot miss the tables and kitchen on the street.

I liked rooms and the hotel.
I was there in the end of November 2008, the hotel is far away from the center and we had to take tuk-tuk. The staff at the reception is great, but the restaurant staff is very slow so we had to wait a long time for cups and dishes at breakfast. There were a lot of dishes at breakfast but every day was the same (were had been stayed there for 5 nights). Transport from the airport to the hotel is free.

A fairly new hotel( nine years old) has real old-world charm with beautiful timber work all around including the artistic bedhead. Very friendly staff.
As the car park is lower than the main road, it gets flooded when it rains heavily.
The staff at front counter and dining room were friendly. It will pay for the hotel to install some draining facility at its front car park as it gets flooded when it rains heavily.
Travel tip : A friendly tuk tuk driver (Sok Thon)waiting at the front provided us excellent service for three full days.
Bangkok Airways office, being very close, helped us to change flight timings.

Good location,
clean rooms
charged extra for call-in massage
tried to make me go to an another massage place they knew
the hotel itself is quite cool.
it was clean, with good locations, except one of the staff member tried to make me go to a massage shop he knew. (i think he was getting a kickback for it)

Staff members were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, so was the bed. The room rate is fairly reasonable for such a facility. Traditional music played in the hall at the breakfast and evening was present. It is well located for a walk and restaurant areas.
I asked for a shower before my departure, which was in the evening, but the hotel refused. In another hotel it was possible in the shower room near the pool. This kind of service makes a lot of difference for the customers' impression of the hotel's hospitality. For a long stay, breakfast becomes rather repetitive. More variation would be appreciated.
While some minor points were weak, the overall services and staff friendliness were satisfactory, especially for the price charged for the room. Easy access to the heart of Siem Reap is also a good advantage.
Restaurant Tip : A nearby restaurant called Banteay Srey offers best food in Siem Reap for local food.

Room with safety box and breakfast very good
People speak bad english (like me!)
Is a very quiet place, well located, between Ankor Temples and Siem Riep Down Town. The rooms are good & clean. The AC is good too. The breakfast is a buffet where you can choose beetwen oriental or international.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Use a hotel tok tok to see Ankor Temples for 15$. Tok-toker 63 is a good boy

Good location, reasonable price
If you want to go to Angkor wat and city center, I reccomend this hotel. You can find rental bikes near here, approximately 500m-1000m. If you want to have dinner near here, you should go to the city center. Otherwise you cannot find good restaurant near this hotel. Dinner in this hotel was not so good, but not so bad.

Comfortable, clean, close to Angkor and to airport.
The staff was unfriendly- we had some problem and they didnt want to give us a police telephone, only after rather unpleasant conversation with head manager - they helped us!
nice place, comfortable, clean, close to everything.
Restaurant Tip : its better to eat in hotel-more safe but expensive/good food on Apsara
