1.) Beautiful lobby and common areas; 2.) Great views; 3.) Attentive & hospitable staff; 3.) The villa rooms are spacious and a good value.

1.) The rooms were generally nice, although the bathroom looked slightly worn; 2.) The beaches at Kamala are't as pretty as Karon

Overall, I would recommend this hotel highly. It is an excellent value.

Close to everything by tuk-tuk. Far enough away for peace.

Still working with drills etc.

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at the beginning of November 2009. We found the staff friendly and very helpful. A tuk-tuk outside the front door will bring you to the old market or Pub street for only $2, remember to always negotiate because they will ask for more. When in Cambodia always have a pocketful of dollar bills as this is all that they want. Don't bother to convert your money to the local currency as they use US$ everywhere. The hotel is well situated and convenient to the town as well as the Temples. If you are expecting to go back to the hotel after a long day at the temples and are looking for a quiet pint, the bar on the rooftop is nice but closes early. Enjoy your stay!

Shopping Tip : Always negotiate, have small dollar bills easily to hand, many souvenirs are cheaper at Angkor than market.

The resort is quite nice by Siam Reap standards, balcony for most rooms

Only criticism was being asked for a tip by the spa staff (definitely not the norm of the the hotel staff)

I had a hard time choosing a resort/hotel when looking into all the choices that Siam Reap has to offer (esp for a city that is actually quite small). I am so glad that I choose the Borei Ankor. The staff were helpful in whatever we needed (esp helping arranging guide/car for Ankor Wat and tuk tuks for shopping and eating around town). The hotel really seems to deal with only reputable people and was not disappointed with any of the arrangements. I will be definitely be returning to this hotel when I am in Siam Reap again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The resort can arrange excellent guide/car for Ankor Wat sightseeing (all arranged the afternoon before our sightseeing). Felt quite safe with the options for restaurants, sightseeing and shopping.

far from down town. bathroom is too open, hard bed

Very friendly and helpful staff. good service. Nice breakfast. Nice swimming pool. Clean hotel. The bed was a bit too hard for me. Far from down town. The Hotel offers taxiride for 5 USD into town. Although, you can also take a tuktuk from the main road for only 2 USD.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Ankor Wat, Bayon tempel, Jungle temple (Lara Croft), Night Marked.

Spa, swimming pool, bathrooms, breakfast.

Hard beds.

The service at this hotel was great. Nothing was too much trouble, The staff organised tuk tuk drivers, made reservations for activities. and helped with all requests. There was always someone to open a door for you and have a friendly chat. The rooms were a good size and worth staying here just for the great bathtub. The beds were a tad firm, but comfortable, ask for a room overlooking the swimming pool. The recently constructed spa was a great comfort after a hard day touring the temples. The hot and cold jacuzzi's were perferct for tired limbs. The steam room and sauna also brand new and great. This hotel is just out of town but an easy tuk tuk ride in and has some intersting local Cambodia markets near by which are worth the visit. They sell EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine!!! There is alo a yummy Apsara bakery within walking distance with a photo printing shop right next door. Great hotel for a good price.

Restaurant Tip : Try the restaurants outside Pub Street, better value and the food is fresher.

Spacious and clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast.

internet connection very poor in first two days

Stayed in Borei Angkor for three days during our trip to Angkor Wat and felt that we were like at home all the time. We were greeted warmly by all the staff whenever we met them. We went out to see the temples in the morning and in the afternoon. It was extremely hot so everytime we came back from the temples we were soaked in sweat. The strong shower and big bath provided great relief and the reasonably priced cold drinks in the room were just perfect for quenching the thirst.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Plan the trips to the temples early in the morning (before 8 a.m.) and late afternoon (after 3 p.m.) to avoid the extreme heat and get beautiful photos. The sunrise and sunset may be a little disappointing.

A beautiful Hotel throughout. One of the best we've stayed at. Extremely polite staff who genuinely wanted to make your stay perfect. We will go back with family.

None - some might say it was a little out of the centre but its not in comparison and just a 3 minute tuk tuk trip to the restaurants bars and markets.

A truely wonderful 3 night stay. Very impressed with the Landmark room and bathroom. Staff were very polite and helpful. Very nice spa facilities (massage a must as it was half price at $15) and pool. Food was superb and reasonably priced. BOOK IT ! will go back with our family.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We didn't realise they offer a complementary Airport pick up and drop off.

Best service, staff is very kind, nice pool area and SPA

Internett didn't work most of the time, breakfast was not very impressive, uncomfortble smell in some of the rooms

All in all this was a very pleasant stay. When we arrived we were met with the best service and the staff was very nice. The first room we got had a bad smell, but when we confronted the reception about it we got an upgrade to the suite without any additional cost. The outside pool area is very nice with a big pool and the SPA right next door. The hotel is too far from the city center to walk, but it cost only 2$ with tuk-tuk to get there. We felt very spoiled by the attentive staff and would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing retreat from the temple touring and market hustling in Siem Reap.

the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel offered many promotions and discounts. The hotel facilities were nice and convienient.

Food quality could have been better. Air con struggled to keep the room cool.

The Borei Angkor resort and spa was a great choice for a 3 day long weekend. The Hotel was convienient to the airport, shopping, and of course the Temple (Wat). The staff was outstanding and provided excellent service. The lobby was inviting and nicely appointed. The room layout and decor was very nice especially for a 4 star rating.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are to visit the temples at Angkor Wat be ready for lots of walking. The locals are persistent with assisting you for everything be sure to keep small money ($1) handy to avoid sorting change, as this tends to attract the local peddlers.

Manager, Spa, breakfast, spacious rooms

Internet wasn't working properly. Ordered a cab that wasn't on time.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. nice big rooms, wooden floors, big balconies. Great pool, got a sublime aroma massage in the Spa. Breakfast was abundant. Staff was friendly, especially the manager really went out of his way to make us comfortable. We had a few annoyances, but the friendliness and adequateness of the management made up for that. One being the internet rather bad (not working at all mostly). On one occasion we ordered a taxi the night before, to take us to Angkor Wat to see the sunrise. The taxi didn't show up on time, so we walked to the street and took a tuk-tuk.

Hotel Feature Tip : Go to the Spa and take a healing - aroma massage.

The pool was nice. The room was good and balcony really nice.

Brown water in the shower sometimes and hot water finished after five minutes. So and so service generally.

Nice but not up to the standard of five stars. Did not replace towels and water bottles as promised. Good for a mid range hotel but not for five stars.

Superb rooms, lovely pool, excellent staff.

A nitpicky point but slightly out of the city centre. (US$2 to bar street via tuk tuk.)

As you drive down to the hotel in your tuk tuk or bus or other form of transport the hotel looks stunning. Walking inside of the hotel does not disappoint either and the welcome from the hotel staff is warm and friendly. The hotel itself is great value for money but the food and drink is expensive compared to bars/restaurants in town. No more so than you would expect in a hotel, though. The location is quiet, which is a plus, but it is slightly out of town. Only US$2 in a tuk tuk one way though. Staff were excellent. Warm and friendly. The hotel was extremely comfortable, very relaxing, and spotless. The room was beautiful and perfectly clean. Food was good although slightly expensive. Overall I would highly recommend the hotel. We loved it!
