Borei Angkor is a new hotel which is competing in a very competitive market, and is going out of their way to make it in the 5 star competition. The rooms are spacious, nothing out of the ordinary and as I have mentioned the aircon is very noisy. the lighting system is very odd with a master button on a control panel by the bed which is fine if you can see in the dark. A very pleasant hotel.
Spacious, lovely pool area. Staff very helpful and informative.
Noisy aircon.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Angkor Wat. Get a guide and driver. They all want to have a two hour break after lunch but this gets you to Angkor Wat at about 3pm with everyone else supposedly to see sunset, but the park closes before the sun sets, so unless you want to see Angkor Wat with thousands of others, set your own timetable.

The Borei Angkor Resort & Spa makes you feel a VIP instantly. Rescued from the frantic bus terminal by your own personal Limousine driver, who whisks you through the throng of people, and drives you to your peaceful haven. Here the reception counter is bypassed for your check in, in fact it is not a check in, it is a proper reception by the staff, dressed in the classic style, offering refreshing towels, fresh coconut juice, and the best smiles ever. Home was never like this. It is an experience that will remind all of us what true hospitality was meant to be.

Great service from the very begining until the end. Hotel staff very helpfull in every situation. Rooms are in perfect condition. Worth of money. I stayed in several highly rated hotels in different countries within south east asia and I have to say this one is one of the best. Enjoed ever single moment I stayed there. Bar on the fourth floor with live music as well. After hard day of runing around Angkor, this resort offers true relax. I can only recomand to anyone.
Great service from the very begining until the end. Hotel staff very helpfull in every situation.
Breakfast box was quite poor. Rather eat breakfast in hotel.
- Restaurant Tip : Dead fish restautrant in the centre of Siem Reap is worth of seeing. They offer mostly thai fod so be prepared for really spicy dishes :)

Upon arrival you are instantly made to feel special, with a cold towel and a cool drink. Khmer band playing in the lobby whilst the check in procedure begins. Room is huge, pool unbelievable and the whole atmosphere is friendly and warm. Puts you in the right frame of mind to go out and explore the sites. Made me feel special - in US this hotel would cost you 300 a night easy
Friendly staff, five star facilities and overall a great experience
Nil
- Nightlife Tip : Pub street - short tuk tuk to the area. Safe and well worth a look

We found the Borei Angkor to be an excellent hotel with warm and friendly staff. Breakfast was a joy to behold! Large well appointed dining room with counter after counter of delicious food bot hot and cold. Even good cheeses! Front desk staff attended to our every need, organising a car and driver for sightseeing and a tuk tuk for the day to explore the temples. The hotel is close to the centre of town but as it has a few tuk tuk drivers on standby it's easy to get one of them to take you wherever you want to go. We were very pleased with this hotel and couldn't fault it in any respect.
Impressive facade and entrance. Lobby is enormous and very attractive. Landmark rooms large and airy with good sized balcony. Beautiful swimming pool and attentive bar service.
Some renovations were going on at the time of our visit in August 2008 so there was occasioally a strong smell of timber varnish but only in some of the common areas and not in our room.
- Restaurant Tip : Pub Street in Siem Reap has everything in the way of restaurants and cafes.

Reception by staff is very friendly. Seated you get a cold towel, a drink and the receptionist takes care of all administration. Staff wears funny ancient clothes. Because of renovationworks in one wing (no inconvenience whatsoever) we got an upgrading to a beautiful landmark room. The swimmingpool is huge and has enough sunbeds in the shade. Poolservice is also excellent. Every morning a khmer musicgroup performs in the lounge. Free pick-up from the airport by sedan. I would stay in the Borei again and will recommend it to all my friends.
friendly reception by staff, huge swimmingpools beautiful room, good food
none
- Restaurant Tip : The nearby FCC. (Foreign Correspondence Club) Good atmosphere, good food. Go there.

Tavelling with 2 young children, stayed one week at the Borei, had connecting spacious rooms, visited temples by tuktuk every day it was very nice to return in the afternoon to the comfort at the Borei. Breakfast was the best we ever had during our one month trip, big variety, very friendly staff.
We ate once in the restaurant, buffet wich was ok but in the city you have more choice for lower prices. Over all we liked it very much there and would certainly book it again
spacious clean rooms, we had an upgrade to Landmark room because of renovation of the deluxe rooms
nice atmosphere
friendly and helpfull staff
best breakfast!
swimmingpool in the shadow after 4 pm wich was the time we returned from sightseeing
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : rent a tuktuk with driver by day so the location is not a problem anymore.
try the PINK LADY at the poolside!

the hotel is a little bit far away from the city center, but it´s a nice hotel. The front desk staff wellcomes you with a drink and a fresh towell; they dress tipycal clothes. The room is very big and has bathtube and shower. Everything is domotic in the room. The swimmingpool is very nice (with jacuzzi). The breakfast was the best of my trip.
Extremily kindly staff, big room, beautifull bathroom and excellent breakfast, domotic room
It´s a little bit far from the city center

First of all, every staff was kind and polite.
And the hotel was clean.
The food was great and the cocktail at the pool bar was good
I liked the sight from the room which I could see the sunset and sunrise, swimming pool as well.
And this hotel was famous so it was easy to come back from the town by local transportation.
It means that I don't have to explain to the driver about the location of the hotel.
But I found that they didn't change the bedding for room cleaning.
There was the dirt and sand-mark on the cover before I leave in the morning.
But I could find it after I came back from my tour. Of course I did leave the tip.
And the operation hour for the dining, I would like to recommend that it must be extended.
Or they can make "Brunch hour" for whom wants to sleep late in the morning.
Sight from the room, kindness and politeness of staff, famousness, pool bar, swimming pool
Room Service, bedding, dining operations hours, breakfast
- Restaurant Tip : If you miss the dining hours, you can find the local market in front of the hotel. You can buy fruit or local food with low-price.
If you don't like it, you can take local transportation Tuc-Tuc for $2.00 and tell the driver to go to "Pub-Street"
Then you can find many restaurants from there.
