We booked at the Golden Temple based on the incredible reviews offered on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The welcome we received was personal and attentive and the free meals were very delicious. The free massage was relaxing but not amazing. the room was large enough and had all amenities. The bathroom was average with no separate shower space, common in Asia but a little disappointing when everything else was so good. Well situated and quiet at night, this was a great find.

Lets start at the beginning.I e mailed the hotel to confirm our reservation and get transport from the airport.Do to the fact we wouldnt land in seam reap untill almost midnite.However this was no problem for them and was included with the stay.wow you wouldnt get this in the states.The staff is very eager to help and all speak good english.The free breakfast was so good we decided to try the lunch menu and were so amazed by it we ate almost every meal there.The hotel is 5 blocks from pub street and the market,sorry no tuk tuk today!We even made arrangement with the hotel for transportation to the ruins at angor wat, car all day and english speaking guide for less than $60.00 per person.This was my first time to go overseas and i have to say that people at the golden temple made my time there a experience that will be with me for ever.I really dont beleave that you could do better at any $300.00 a nite stay at any resort. I cant say enough about the staff .

This hotel is absolutely beautiful... from the first moment you arrive and cross the stone steps across the pond to the reception area, to the flower petals placed on our bed, to the hammocks in the pool area, it has an amazing ambience and feel. We were greeted with cold face towels and refreshing cups of cold zingy lemon tea and made to feel very welcome by Kanika who spoke great English and was very attentive during our visit. The manager also takes time to personally greet all visitors. The staff couldn't be more helpful, giving great advice on where to visit and how to set up tours. I wasn't expecting the free 1-hour massage so that was a lovely bonus. There were also other complimentary items we didn't take advantage of like a free set lunch/dinner, free temple picnic and so on. Two things I would want to improve are that the room doors are quite thin so you may get noise from corridor depending on other guests, and the swimming pool needed to be filtered. I would recommend this hotel to friends for a great overall experience and a tranquil haven after getting back from temple-bashing!

Quirky Hotel - Kymer style

Very friendly staff. At first the decor seemed overpowering - but after a while it sort of grows on you. Bathroom wasn't up to much - dark and the water pressure could be described a dribble. Great position - just a stroll from the markets and pub street. Could have done with a bar not bar/restaurant. Lots of freebies - massage - dinner - t shirts to go home with.

Altogether a great place to stay, friendly smiling staff where nothing is too much trouble. Great location easy walk to pub street, day markets, night markets, and if you don't feel like walking the reception staff can arrange an English speaking driver with car or tuk tuk. Not far from Angkor temples, and other attractions. The staff offer kmer cooking classes and at only $10 a head it is well worth the money.

Enjoyed the room, service, food nd proximity to pub st. We walked a lot and the location was convenient. It was very clean and the staff were helpful, friendly and provide everything we asked. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get out into the country. Hire a scooter or quatbike. The sunsets over the paddy fields were amazing. Also viewing how people live and survive was an eye opener.

Nicely decorated hotel, a quiet retreat after visiting the temples. The prices at the hotels restaurant for the food and drinks are really reasonable; the massage prices too. They serve a big included breakfast in several variations with a small complimentary buffet. We were overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff and by the good English language skills. A great place to stay.
