This hotel is an ideal venue for exploring the Angkor complex and its surroundings. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to Angkor, La Maison d' Angkor resort and its garden compound offer a home full of serenity for travelers after a long day of sightseeing. The garden is large, with spacious green areas inviting guests to relax in an air of serenity. There is an outdoor pool with ample space for sunbathing, and the location is in a quiet spot, a little away from the center of town and the active nightlife. Attractive building in beautiful well-kept grounds, friendly welcome including a personal one from the manager himself, attentive staff, excellent menu at the poolside verandah restaurant, well-appointed bedrooms in chalets within the gardens, easy to reach from airport.

We liked everything - even the location not bang in the centre (it was quieter) because transport into town and to main attractions was easy to arrange.

This is a wonderful hotel set in lush tropical gardens around a dreamy pool. But what sets this hotel apart is the quality of service from staff - from the friendly and knowledgeable reception (including a personal welcome from the manager himself) to the wonderful restaurant service. The food was really good and well-presented and service was attentive without being intrusive. It was also highly professional, unlike in many hotels in the region where well-meaning amateurism reigns, at the Maison d'Angkor everyone knows what they should be doing and does it. Very impressive - I will be back with some more of my family!!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to Angkor Wat and to the Tonle Sap (floating village) and only a couple of kilometres from the centre of Siem Reap.

Beautiful gardens and pool.

Out of town location.

A charming beautiful resort with lovely gardens and decent size pool. It is though a long ride on a Tuk Tuk to get to the town center (2$ single, 4$ return). It also takes at least 30 minutes to get to Angkor Wat or Ta Prohm. On the plus side it is not a large corporate bunker hotel with hundreds of rooms which could be found anywhere.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Always negotiate with the tuk tuk drivers directly for day trips or car hire, 1/2 price than hotel costs. Massage in hotel 18$, in town 6$.

Location was good, staff was friendly and efficient, restaurant food and service was good, room was comfortable and clean

We booked and paid for this hotel online and were very impressed when we arrived. We stayed three nights and ate in the restaurant each evening in a beautiful setting outside next to the pool. The general manager was very friendly and each day recommended a favorite dinner selection of his and the chef. We had a very comfortable and clean room and internet service was provided free of charge. We would certainly stay there again.
