swimming pool - a very exotic and close to nature style swimming pool. the ideal hang out space under the bring hot sun in the afternoon

the only thing i could think of is the pillows are far too soft for us

Me and my friend stayed 4 nites in Le Residence D'Angkor. I love this hotel even before we checked in. It was my friend's birthday and the resort prepared a complementary birthday cake that nite. The staff are super friendly and very helpful all the time. Very attentive to our needs. The whole resort including the room is very exotic and very close to nature. The room deco is modern yet with the wood and the greenery garden, is more than just relaxing and comfortable. Very good value compare to what we paid for.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : From airport to hotel by tuk tuk is USD 4 one way (they will try to charge you more since they know you are staying in a decent hotel). From hotel to Angkor round trip including inside transportation is USD 10. Dont go to the floating village as it is a complete ripped off. We have spent (by guilt) USD 70 just for a 1 hour tour on the village by boat cos everyone asked you for money on the way.

Best hotel I stayed in on a recent trip. Pool and rooms are beautifully designed, staff was excellent, and the location was central but quiet.

Excellent location Very good aminities Beautiful design

food too expensive

The hotel is great. Located in the center of Siem Reap, it's the best place to discover the temples as well as to enjoy the night life of the "old market" area. The rooms are big and comfortable, the swimming pool very nice and the garden beautiful...a true heaven! However, one issue: the price of the food..out of range and not better that what you can find in small restaurant in town.

Peaceful surroundings, authentic architecture

noisy on the street side, expensive tours if booked at the hotel

This hotel is an oasis in a city that is being over run with Las Vegas style resorts. It's simplicity is restful and hits just the right tone for the weary traveler. Breakfast was delicious and meals in the restaurant outstanding. The staff made every effort to make us comfortable. The rooms were simple and comfortable, spacious yet not over the top. The exercise room was lovely, spotless and empty. Catered mostly to Europeon travelers, we were the only Americans. Tours booked through the hotel for the temples were good but very pricey.

great hotel and great room. great service. fantastic pool.

no spa or massage inside the hotel, only in room massage are offered.

This hotel is probably among the very best in Cambodia. It was so good to get back to the luxury and tranquility of this hotel after a full day visiting temples and walking around the town. Everything was perfect from the pick up at the airport to the departure. The only thing to avoid is the expensive one day tour around the temple for 105 USD, just go by yourself with a taxi or tuk tuk and you will pay 25 USD max and have as much fun...

Restaurant Tip : singing tree just 2 blocks away.

The rooms are spacious. The service is impeccable. The food was outstanding. The setting of the pool was luxurious.

The hotel is an oasis in Siem Reap. The service harkens back to an earlier more civilized time. The rooms are spacious and extremely well appointed. The food in the restaurant was superb. Prices are more than reasonable, given the quality. I recommend the hotel without reservation. It was a magnificent experience.

Primer location in Siem Reap close to market and town life yet serene and separate surrounded by a beautiful garden with a great pool Great design throughout, kind and thoughtful staff- supremely luxurious rooms and bathrooms. Makes a great end to a hot day in the ruins of Angkor

Can't think of a negative--they bent over backwards to make us comfortable when just being there would have been enough

We arrived in the heat of the day when most hotels are not esthetically at their best, but La Residence was an Oasis. Over a koi and lotus pond bridge to a lobby with tastefully light statues copied from Angkor, a speedy and gracious check in and almost immediately you are in the pool of dark blue and green glass tiles... large and long and surrounded by a jungle of plants. The beds, the linens, the bath, better than any I have had. You don't want to leave but when the city and the temples call, the staff helps you find everything you need with no push for special deals or connections. We met a tuc-tuc driver in the market who happened to be the lead driver for the hotel. Mr. Thorn took us everywhere for whatever we wanted to pay him. He was bright, knew the city and the temples well and helped us feel like we got to know a bit of Cambodia. I can't say enough good things about La Residence d'Angkor. I would return over and over if I could

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : See Angkor Thom first, hold off on Angkor Wat until you can't stand the suspense. There are over 60 temple sites to see. All are impressive but save the best for last.

Which impress me a lot is the service and decoration of the room, super good.

None.

My husband and I enjoyed the stay in this hotel. First we like very much the decoration in the hotel especially inside the room. I even bought the two wood souvenir in the room. Moreover, their service is super good, clean up the room timely and even put different flowers inside the room. Next time when we stay in Siem Reap, will choose this hotel for sure!

i strongly recommend to read their culture and history before travel... as i was travelling alone w/o knowledge ... No fun... remember Not to engage a tuk-tuk driver w/o schedule, my tuk-tuk driver (booked from website/email)changed my plan w/o early notice.

Restaurant Tip : viroth's restaurant behind the hotel... good "amok|" fish soup for light meal.

Very quiet and centrally located in a very attractive Asian ambience

in this price class of the hotel should be a pick-up service from the airport free of charge competitors wandering to take a taxi because it is so many streets with no name and the hotel is probably not everyone knows to avoid them.

Currently held in the large hotel complex conversion work instead, which obviously at the check-in are brought to, but better already communicated in advance should have been, because it is a bit uncomfortable after his daily trips by 16 clock to the pool with the sounds of a Click to go! The staff is very careful and tried what many defects, such as repeated requests for an ashtray, ignore it!

Nightlife Tip : In the area of the Old Market, there are cheap restaurants and a very intense night life for night owls!
