Spacious Rooms. Lovely pool courtyard. Gorgeous ornate timberwork.

Not very central

We really enjoyed our time at the Majestic Angkor Hotel. Good value for money. A Grand Hotel for a modest price.

Nightlife Tip : Bar Street and Night Market are both great ways to spend the evening

Very Clean. Great Staff. Nice rooms. Comfortable.Khymer styling

Never had time for breakfast so cannot rate

See above. Some people will moan about the distance from town but what could be more fun than haggling and getting to and from in a tuk-tuk! They will try it on though $4, but I never paid over $1. Always witha smile though.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Ankor and the other wats! Well, why else are you there!

Hotel rate not so expensive.

Far from the town Siem Reap. No broadbank internet available. Reception service bad. Breakfast barely acceptable

I spent four nights. Limited options in Breakfast. The reception and management is like 1-star. On the last date I asked the reception to get a taxi waiting for me at 3pm and I paid the taxi fare in advance. But, when I turned up at 3pm, they told me the taxi will come in 40 minutes! No sense of servicing guests!

Close to the airport, with a Tuk Tuk you are in the middle between City and Temples.

Rooms are stuffy, Breakfast Buffet could be better, Staff is friendly but can't help you with more specific questions.

If you look for a place to sleep you are right here. The rooms are alright even that they smell a bit muffy and look out for a room where no one smoked before. Everything is basic but alright. For the price we paid we found already better Breakfast Buffets but while in between City and Temples the hotels has a good location. With TUK TUK no problem to get around. Always double check transfer requests or similar things. Not very good internal communication. Otherwise a good place to stay for a couple of days.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I think two days are enough to see the most important things in this area.

clean,nice pool,staff,breakfast,value,massive rooms.

location

This hotel is one of the best i have ever stayed in as regards value. The room had a king size bed and a double bed and lots of furniture to lounge around on,it was massive!all for $36 a night,i couldnt quite believe it when i walked in.The staff were very nice and the breakfast was very good and varied ie bacon, egg, fresh fruit, cerial etc.The only drawback(a very small one imo)was that it was a $3 tuk tuk ride into town.

Very spacious and clean rooms Very nice decor Courteous hotel staff Good location Very good buffet breakfast Very nice swimming pool

Room lighting slightly dim Hot water in shower/bath very sensitive

We had a very nice stay at Majestic Angkor. The rooms are very well appointed - spacious, clean and well decorated in traditional style. Our room faced the main road with views of other hotels, street life and we could even see the hot air balloon when it was in operation. My only complaint with the room is that despite numerous lights, the lighting is rather dim, expecially the bedside lamps. Bathroom is also spacious, however all the members in our party (we had booked two rooms) had a problem adjusting the hot water in the shower. The lever is very sensitive and the water changes from hot to cold almost on its own. Other great pluses about the hotel - very nice buffet breakfast with both Asian and Western items. Great swimming pool with very nice decor and large skylight. Location is also very good - although it may be a little far from the downtown restaurants, it was only minutes away by car. I would recommend the place to everyone, good value for money, comfortable with no major complaints except for the hot water. I was looking for a reasonably priced good hotel decorated in traditional Khmer style and I found it at Majestic Angkor.

Travel tip : Go to the Old Market to buy souvenirs - great cultural experience and much more variety than buying at the temple sites. If you have young children travelling with you, the in room minibar (standard in most hotels) is very handy for keeping perishable snacks that we brought with us. Hot air balloon ride, though a novel experience is a waste of money in terms of the views you get of Angkor Wat. However, if you have older people or young children in your party, it is a more comfortable way of getting an aerial view of Angkor Wat instead of going up Phnom Bekong hill.

We were not really aware that the prefered currency was $US although Baht and Rials (the local currency) were accepted in most places. Nobody informed us of the $US25 departure tax at the airport which came as a shock, but they take credit cards.

Travel tip : Tuk tuks are excellent value for sightseeing, we engaged one for the entire 3 day stay the driver spoke good English and his local knowledge and guideance very useful.

We were given a free upgrade to a suite which is definitely a plus. However, the shower cubicle somewhat leaked and we had to use the shower above bath tub to avoid flooding the floor.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you are getting a tuk-tuk to town, you should pay no more than $3, $2 for couple and $3 for 4 persons. To Angkor Wat, it's $4-$5 trip. All prices mentioned are for one way.

The Majestic Hotel is small (compared to other hotels in the area) and friendly with fabulous decor of the main entrance, reception and indoor pool area. Bedrooms are large, clean and tastefully decorated. Service was 1st class. We were provided with airport pick up and given a welcome drink on arrival at the hotel. Good range of breakfast for both Westerners and those from the Far East. Hotel on the main road from the airport to the city centre made access easy. I have no problems recommending this hotel, especially at the cheap price of rooms.

We had a great time here. The staff were wonderful and could not have been more helpful. We hired Mr. Sart, the tuk-tuk driver from the hotel who took us around the temples for three full days for a very reasonable price.
