Friendly and helpful staff, especially Naomi at the front desk and our delightful driver whose name I couldn't hope to spell.Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms very clean and our upgrade to Junior Suite was welcomed by our daughters who could spread out their "stuff" without arguing! Lovely breakfast, great choice, very fresh fruits and salads.

Hotel is out of town on the airport road.Transport provided though so no big deal.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, everybody was so friendly and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our wonderful driver had only been in Siem reap for a short time but he was willing to find any obscure location which we requested. Hotel was very quiet, but with most of our time spent out at the temples it had no impact on our stay. Pool very big and well maintained. During our stay a local TV crew were filming, again very friendly despite numerous appearances by us during their shooting of scenes by the lifts and in the lobby. We must have doubled their no. of out-takes!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very handy to avoid the main temple traffic as the hotel is located on the airport road and there is a very convenient backroad around to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom

- Nice facility, especially the Swimming pool - Promixity to the airport - Polite staff

- Restaurant Menu can be extended or included more local items

It was our first four day trip in Siem Riep. Being in Royal Angkor resort made the holidays a wonderful experience. The pool was open from 7AM-9PM, but the staff kept the pool open pass 9PM for us after 9PM so that we could have late night swim. The rooms were beautiful, and the bathroom were fitted with claw baths. There are also a wide variety of TV channels to choose from. The only drawback is probably the restaurant menu and food offering. We had lunch everyday at the resort, and ended up ordering club sandwich every day because there were not much to choose from. Overall, the stay was very pleasant, and we will definitely come back to stay at the resort in our next trip.

Not far from airport. Good breakfast. Large pool. Live music in lobby.

Friendly but inefficient staff - poor training and lack of English. Hotel 4 kms out of town but easy to take taxi.

Hotel somewhat cold and impersonal but offers a good 4 star standard. The food was quite good if a bit limited. Access to the pool was poor as it involved going through the lounge area and there was little shrubbery to provide shade and calm. Room of good standard but air conditioning controlled centrally and set too low, but altered eventually.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You need a licensed guide to make the most of the temples around Angkor Wat and Floating Village. Unfortunately, traders etc wont take no for an answer and pester tourists.

very beautiful hotel and very friendly staffs. The room is very nice and clean, especially they clean the room twice a day.although the hotel is a little far from the town but a tuk-tuk will take you to town for only $3. breakfast is good and adequate and the swimming pool is beautiful. we will definitely stay in this hotel again next time to Angkor Wat.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Because of the high temperature, avoid to visit the temples during the mid of the day. Go to the Floating Village to see the lives of the local people.

The pool The Spa - excellent oil massage = order the squid with corn peppers

not all the staff were knowledgeable about the tourist attractions

If not for the missing $100 from my hotel room, I would have nothing but wonderful things to say. I suppose I have to accept some of the responsibility because I neglected to lock the safe. The hotel staff is friendly and polite. The food is adequate, but the squid with corn peppers is amazing. They offer internet, but at an absorbitant rate. The pool is magnificent, but the gym leaves a little bit more to be desired for. Make sure you check out Angkor Wat and Bayon. The hotel will help you arrange cars, motos, tuc tucs and tour guides. Ask for Pet. He is the friendly tuc tuc driver. No his last name isn't Chia.. unfortunately.

Different style check in Very pleasant and hospitable staff Very comfortable rooms

Hotel is far from town with hardly anything to do around the hotel. Hotel breakfast is so-so

Hotel is very nice with a different checkin approach. You have a seat and a staff member explains the features of the hotel over a welcome drink. The room is very nice and staff likewise. However, the hotel is situated quite far from the town so wandering around for things to do isn't really convenient. A tuk-tuk will take you to town for about $3. We had one that would take us to town, around town to food, laundry, net access and massage and back to the hotel for $6USD. Make sure you get a good guide if you're going to Angkor Wat.

Beautiful pool area and lobby area. Very friendly and knowledgable staff

Breakfast could be more elaborate

The royal angkor is exactly how it is described on its website- that is the best part - you know exactly what to expect. Beautiful hotel with great staff always looking to help you out. We were greeted with cold towels and a delicious cocktail when we got to the hotel. The concierge took care of all our car and guide needs as well as making reservations for different shows. The apsara show at the hotel with traditional dinner was a real treat. Great resort for kids as well as the pool area is very large. The spa was excellent - I would definitely recommend their Signature package. It is also a short tuk tuk ride away from all local attractions and markets and yet very peaceful.

Lovely hotel building, large airy rooms, a big pool, good friendly service

Overfriendly doorstaff who pounce on you on your way in or out of the hotel and ask tedious repetitive questions. Lots of non-available choices on the menu (although this may be due to our stay being not during peak season) Having to walk through the restaraunt to reach the swimming pool

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is bright and airy with large, clean rooms. It is a great base from which to explore the regions temples and other sights. Staff were friendly and the service was good, however the door staff must've been told to make conversation with the guests - you'd get 20 questions whenever you entered or left the hotel.

Extra luxurious hotel. Big swimming pool. Nice staff.

Located on the road to the airport. A little far from downtown.

Usually big luxurious hotels are rather unpersonal. But Royal Angkor Resort is not the case. Although under renovation during our stay, we could feel the difference and inconvenience. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet is delightful.

Their free room upgrading reserved us to a room that was more than enough for four people. The room had a jacuzzi and an impressive painting on the bedside wall.

I can't whole-heartedly recommend the hotel, but hopefully once it has been in operation a bit longer, the "quirks" of the hotel will be addressed. The on-site spa, while very nice, was limited in its offerings because it was still so new. We didn't know the selection would be limited when we made our appointments. However, it was a good value for the money, relatively convenient, and the people were great, overall, I'd give it 3.5 out of 5.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Cambodian Cultural Village is just across the street and looked like it would be an interesting attraction, especially for children.
