The Spa, position, graciousness, hotel training school for Cambodian village teenagers who were all so self effacing and keen to do the right thing. Organises aid for Cambodian people. generous supplies of water and fruit every day. Food lovely.

Lady manager not all together helpful at times. Felt certain requests were a bit of an effort at times.

A lovely hotel in the heart of Siem Reap, staff lovely and really a charming positive place to stay. Only small and intimate. The spa gave me the best hot stone massage I had ever had and facial as after 3 days of cycling aroung Cambodia in the heat and humidity I really needed it, it ironed out all the aches and pains. The room was lovely and little touches like flowers and fruit and nice soaps and oils made it quite special. The only negative was the lady manager didnt seem to accomodate our requests very well. Said she could change a flight for us that other hotels along the way had done very easily. She said there had been a 2 day holiday in Vietnam so no one was answering there phone and when we got to Vietnam we fouhd this not to be true. Another thing was we were on a cycling tour and left the hotel every day at 0800 and on the last day we would be back by 1400 to pack up and go to the airport by 1700. We asked if we could have a late check out so we would shower before we left but she said no as the hotel was full and she needed the room so we had to pack up and be out of the room by 0800 and leave our baggage in the storeroom and have a shower in the Spa when we got back. If they had been full I wouldnt have minded but it certainly wasnt full when we were there and according to someone who will remain nameless it wasnt full then. Just annoyed me a bit. All the other staff were divine. The aid program seemed impressive but one of the taxi drivers said it was a ploy to get the tourists. Hope not as the country needs all the aid it can get.

Nightlife Tip : Pop around the courner and have a cocktail at the FCC Club a bar and restaurant where the foreign correspondents used to need during the war. Also lovely art gallery just up the road which sells great art. Also lovely restaurant across the river called Vithroths.

Good location. Nice spacious room. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

There was nothing really that I disliked. If I was being picky the breakfast could have been better (particularly if you are a vegetarian).

We received cold face towels when we arrived and an authentic Cambodian scarf. The room was spacious and we each had a double bed. The air con worked well (although a little noisy). There is a nice pool. We didn't use the spa or eat dinner in the restaurant, so no feedback on that. On the whole, a nice hotel with good atmosphere and helpful friendly staff, good sized rooms, with nice bathroom products.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Happy Feet give a great foot massage. One of the better ones in Cambodia.

I believe this is a training/sister hotel to Hotel de la Paix (where I have also stayed)also in Siem Reap...for a fraction of the cost. Very comfortable, good decor, everything worked in the room.

Shinta Mani is actually quite central, but being off dirt roads it seems miles from anything. Once you stay for a few days even the directionally challenged such as myself can walk to shops and markets. The grounds are nothing much - no gardens.

I really liked Shinta Mani. Rooms were not as posh as Hotel de la Paix but were nevertheless quite comfortable with all amenities. Front desk staff were a bit distracted at times but always friendly. The spa was just ok - I'd go to one of the excellent in-town spas. For those with internet needs it's not available in-room but there is free internet in the common area upstairs.

Safety, comfort and cleanliness.

Drainage issues.

The Shinta Mani Hotel was a most pleasant surprise on our recent trip. The hotel is situated on a quiet street, surrounded by lush trees and tropical foliage. The hotel rooms are well equipped and spacious with very comfortable beds and linens. The mattresses were the most comfortable we had experienced in the area. The staff spoke reasonably good English and were very helpful in assisting us - they were able to provide a reputable guide who gave us invaluable information about the local temples. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Without the help of our English speaking guide for our tour of the temples, we would have missed most of the details of these treasures.

US dollars are accepted everywhere and most people speak some English. Grab a tuk-tuk and head out to the smaller temples in the mornings, there are fewer tourists and the weather is better. The staff at the hotel can help you get anywhere and can provide price information for all your options.

Internet access (free) was in keeping with the city - slow and relaxed.

Travel tip : Use the tuk-tuk drivers that wait in front of the hotel for temple visits and excursions. It is a pleasant and fun way to travel.

In a town full of big "luxury" hotels that seem totally out of place, this is a small gem of a boutique hotel. Thanks Agoda for helping us find it!

Travel tip : Ask the hotel to set up a trip to Angkor either by tuk tuk or preferably a car and guide. Eat at Aha near the old market-great Cambodian tapas.

I would only return to this hotel a second time if they upgraded their bathroom

Shopping Tip : - great bargains for men's shirts at Central Market - things at Night Market are nice but slightly on expensive side. Only buy from there if you cant otherwise find it in the stores nearby Old Market or Central Market

While at the hotel, they hosted a Khymer dance show conducted by local children from an orphanage. I very much enjoyed the performance and only wish I had been able to talk with the children afterwards.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : There are very friendly tuk tuk taxi drivers just outside the hotel entrance which I felt was the best way to visit the ruins.

We really liked this hotel, but we did not like the food they served us. We had a Cambodian buffet, and it wasn't very tasty, but the dance show that we had at dinner was great and made up for it. The other days, we ate in town and the food (of all varieties) in town was cheap and delicious. Also, Siam Reap is very international, in terms of the travelers that go there. We really enjoyed that.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't take the tour of the Angkor Wat complex with the hotel - your taxi driver from the airport will most likely offer to take you for $25. That is a good deal, and highly recommended.

Would recommend highly and particularly liked the hotels initiative to encourage helping the very poor rather than tipping the staff. We were taken to a village for the afternoon which was a real eye-opener. We decided to donate a well which cost 100 US dollars. This included the cost of drilling and construction. "well" worth it for something so important.

Restaurant Tip : FCC (Foreign Correspondents Club) was very nice to sit outside in the evening and was only five minutes walk.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Double circle of support staff.

This hotel may not be alone, there were many mosquitoes.

Not far from the center of Siem Reap, conveniently. The room was very comfortable. I feel very good staff, who support the right to be asked. If you come back again if I think election BITAI recommended hotels.

a lot of charm to this hotel, the decoration of the rooms is very successful. reception was very pleasant and always smiling staff pool offers peaceful relaxation area, a haven of peace after visiting the temples is the hotel near the center (a few minutes by tuk tuk) breakfast is very good

rooms that are on the ground floor are near the reception and there is some noise in the morning

We spent a very pleasant stay at Shinta Mani in Siem-Reap. It is a small hotel with a decoration in the local style made with much gout.La size of this hotel gives a lot of charm. Welcome to our arrival was warm and the staff is always available and smiling The rooms have every comfort and every day a small detail to enhance your stay: fruits, flowers, small cakes. in the pool is a patio, location is clean and lovely breakfast-buffet and good quality. The hotel is minutes from the city, it can be done on foot but the course is not pleasant at night because the lighting is insufficient it is therefore better to take a tuc tuc, it Permanent parked in front of the hotel I think it's better to ask a room at the top because the proximity of the receipt created on the ground floor a little animation, but nothing very disturbing.
