it could have been better

not as comfortable as had been expected: very dusty surroundings because of road construction; an entire day without electricity; malfunctioning internet connection; In the bedroom: no clothes cabinet; toilet and shower in one small messy and wet space; sink and shower water smelled of rust; bedroom for two but only had bed side table/lamp and one chair. The plus points though were: friendly staff, good bed, good TV reception (although, we had hoped for HBO movies in English)

Second visit to Garden Inn was great as usual

this was my second visit to siem reap garden inn and it was great as usual. the staff went out of their way in accommodating us.
details - my mom, who's a vegetarian has a tough time eating outside. i had asked the staff if we could make rice at the room during our stay; not only were they ok with it, but they also gave us plates and cutlery.
another pleasant experience was with a friendly tuk tuk driver who goes by the name chalky. this gentleman was polite and patiently waited for us at every stop we wanted to make. he did not have any demands even when it came to money. on our last day when i asked him how much he charged, he just told me to give whatever i felt like. he accepted what i gave with a smile, shook my hand and said thank you. it was very humbling.
the only negative part of this place is the road to access this facility. otherwise, a++
