Everything was nice in the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were big. Service was really good.
We were really glad we booked ourselves in Sofitel. We were a group of 10 people. The hotel easily arranged a tour for us to go to the temples. The price of the tour was very reasonable. They told us they will give us a very good guide and our guide was indeed very good. We really enjoyed our tour of the temples thanks to the guide. Service of the Hotel was 5-star. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff was very accommodating. We had a late evening flight the the Hotel was very kind to extend late check out for us and even a later check out time for 2 rooms out of the 5 rooms we got. This way, we had a place to leave our things in and was able to freshen up before we left. We all left Siem Reap happy and contended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We were not able to see the sunset at Angkorwat as it was raining but we went to the sunrise and it was a very nice experience. It is worth waking up for!

Excellent staff and lovely layout of Hotel
Our first visit to Cambodia. Hotel was what one would expect from a Hotel with the level of rating.Staff are friendly and food is of a good quality, although largely overpriced for a country like Cambodia - suggest you rather try some local eateries that cater for international guests. There you will find good food and the price of the taxi and dinner for two will still be less than breakfast for one at the Sofitel.Rooms are well maintained and layed out beautifully. All in all a plesent stay.
Restaurant Tip : BBQ restuarant down the road from the Hotel is worth a visit. Dinner for two will cost you less than breakfast for one at the Hotel.

Beautiful pool, quiet rooms, luxurious bathrooms.
Pricey breakfast options. multiple billing errors. Triple check your bill before leaving.
Very beautiful grounds and you feel as though you're at a tropical resort and not just another run of the mill hotel off the dirty dusky roads of town. The most beautiful pool of all the resorts. Staff is very friendly and the rooms were so quiet. The breakfast buffet was pricey. If you ate out for any meal, it was much cheaper and a greater variety food.

A very comfortable relaxed hotel, good pool, good service.
If anything it was over staffed.
A good quality hotel, with traditional french influence. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the wooden floors being a particular feature. The swimming pool is clean and quiet, with comfortable spacing between the sun beds. Service around the pool is good with cold towels supplied on arrival and a swim up bar available along with food if required.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Always use a tuk tuk, but negotiate the price.
