Great hotel with lovely open feel.
nicest hotel in area. close to everthing.
8.3
We stayed as couples in a number of rooms for the angkor wat half marathon. It was a great hotel with nice outlook in to gardens and hotel pools. The location was perfect for proximity to the temples and also to town for restaurants and shops.
The general feel of the hotel is lovely and relaxed with nice light running through the rooms and the lobby.

We absolutely loved the sokha Angkor. The hotel itself is pretty and very clean. The rooms are specious and lovely, and the staff was beyond courteous, gracious, and helpful. I'd recommend to anyone and everyone.

the concierge of the hotel arranged everything for us during our 3-day-stay: certified guide with transportation ( each, per day), tickets to the show "smile of angkor", as well a dinner reservation in a nearby hotel. staff was all wonderful. we were allowed a late check-out due to our departure schedule. great value for the price.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There were extra charges to go to the floating village and another so-called remote site. Please check with the tour guide before.

Great Hotel
Pool, rooms, good breakfast and nice location.
8.7
Very nice hotel in a good location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants are a bit pricey compared to Pub Street and it's very clean, quiet and the pool is fabulous. We had a family room which was two connecting rooms. Perfect for families. Pay the extra money and go for the pool view.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There's a small convenience store right across the street for beer, sodas, snacks and water. And loved the tuk tuks always out front. If you're getting a 3 days pass for the temples, be sure you identify it as 3 days in a row OR 3 days in a week. You might as well go for the 3 days in a week - same price and greater flexibility. We didn't realize there was a difference and had a few issues that the hotel took care of but it took several hours to straighten out.

Central luxury hotel
Location, rooms, service, food

at the check-in, we got a free upgrade to a suite as rooms in our booked category were not available anymore. the suite was very spacious and offered all the comfort you can expect from a 5-star hotel. location wise the hotel is situated very central and all attractions are fast and easy to reach via tuk tuk or taxi.
Travel tip:
Temples (Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm Temple), local markets, National Museum, Tonle Sap Floating Villages

Nice hotel and service with a smile

Nice hotel. First time in Siem Reap so couldn't compare it to other hotels. Convenient to Angkor Wat and a short tuk-tuk ride to Walking Street and other nightlife/restaurants. Hotel is listed as 5-star and the locals definitely agree it is. I believe it was a 5-star hotel in its hey-day but I would consider it to be at most a 4-star by today's standards. Regardless, the staff was wonderful and the hotel met our basic needs. I would recommend it.

Possibly the best hotel in Siem Reap
9.7
a little over 10 minutes drive from the airport (us$7 taxi)this 5* hotel is ideally situated for both the temples & the entertainment. it's about 7km from the temples (another 10 minute cab ride) and a leisurly walk to the main eating/drinking areas. the pool was not crowded whatsoever & not many pesky kids in sight. rooms are spacious with large king size bed, tv, free wifi etc etc. buffet breakfast was superb with a huge choice of dishes from western fry ups to eastern noodles (yes, noodles for breakfast). would definately stay here again, fully recommended.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
We hired our taxi driver from the airport to take us to the Temples the following day for US$30. He drove & waited all day whilst we toured round, driving us from one area to the next in a comfortable air conned car. A cheaper option is to hire one of the numeerous tut-tut's that will hassle you as soon as you step out the hotel front door. They will charge you about US$15 for the whole day. A reasonable cheaper option. Tickets for Temples cost US$20 for 1 day or US$40 for 3 day. We found 1 day was enough, leaving at 5.15AM to watch the sunrise & returning mid afternoon.

great location, perfect room
its a nice hotel with a great pool and the staff are all friendly and helpful
9.3
what i like about this hotel is that is a bi hotel with a big room and pool. its hot and humid in siem reap so a hotel with a pool is big plus. trust me, you will need to relax in a pool after seeing all the temples. his hotel is one of the nicest hotel in siem reap and its only a few mins walk to pub street. if your too lazy to walk, use a tuktuk for 2 usd.
Shopping Tip:
haggle. their prices as markep up like 200 percent so if they ask for lets say a 100 tell them to you will buy that goodie for 40.

The welcoming lobby with smiling staff

I truly enjoyed our stay in Sokha, love the inviting swimming pool, enjoyed the japanese restaurant inside and delicous pastries in the coffee shop. It's as well a 15 minutes ride from Angkor Wat, near pub street and other attractions areas. Truly a good choice with clean room.
