Friendly staff. Beautiful pool area, comfortable beds, large selection for breakfast.

"Spa" not what we had in mind. They took us to a place around the corner separate from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we weren't there for very long, but the staff was friendly, the pool was gorgeous. Breakfast appealed to many. They had more traditional foods and then more westernized choices. Yummy fruits to choose from. The rooms were nice. It was close to pretty much whatever you were going to see as a tourist.

Location of the hotel was very strategic. The money changer was just right outside the hotel. They also allow you to use the pool even if you already checked out. Breakfast was okay. Rooms were pretty big. Free water every day.

Air conditioning was really really bad. I wouldn't stay there again because of the a/c. Although they allow you to use the pool after you checked out, there's not a shower room you can use to clean yourself up after swimming.

They probably have the best location in Siem Reap - I would'nt recommend staying outside the town centre. But I also don't recommend Somadevi if you want rooms where the air conditioning works. If you're going to Siem Reap to visit the temples, you have a choice of riding a tuk tuk or riding a taxi. Riding a tuk tuk is an experience but the hot weather of Cambodia would make you want to wish you were inside an air conditioned car. To use the hotel's wifi I had to pay 5 USD per hour. That didn't work good thing they gave me a refund. You're better off buying ClickNet cards as the signal from this hotel for that is quite strong. For its price, I would look for a different hotel.

Restaurant Tip : Go to the Blue Pumpkin and bring your laptop with you. They offer free wifi and their food is pretty damn good!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at the Somadevi Angkor. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the staff were helpful. The location was ideal, near to restaurants and the town. The rooms were spacious, the buffet was good. I would stay there again.
