We stayed at the Steung Siem Reap hotel and found it to be an excellent value for the money. We were there for 4 days in September 2008 and never had a problem. The room was clean and updated and roomy. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was the best part of the hotel. It is 1 block away from the Old Market area and also 1 block away from pu street where all the great restaurants and bars are located, 2 minute walk at most. Recommend breakfast at the Blue Pumpkin around the corner. The temples are an easy drive about 20 minutes by away from the hotel.
Very clean and updated. Hotel staff very friendly. Location.
While breakfast was included in the price of the room and while it was good, it could have had more variety of food to choose from.
- Restaurant Tip : Recommend eating breakfast or coffee or dessert at the Blue Pumpkin right around the corner from the Steung hotel and the Temple bar for excellent cultural dance show and also for reasonable drinks.

Great location for restaurants, bars, markets, better than being at the string of hotels on the airport road. But not much outside noise. Staff could not be bothered to extend our stay for one night directly.
- Restaurant Tip : Parallel to pub street is a much narrower street full of lovely restaurants.
