beautifully crafted lobby and staircases; room good size; location: near Old Market. Friendly staff

location: south of center of activity, but walking distance not difficult to most areas of interest. No wireless internet in rooms; internet in lobby expensive...using pirated/unregistered copy of windows; no real vegetarian options for breakfast; my room window faced small open area, then window of room on opposite side; no view; my room was lowest priced room available at this location on the internet.

It is difficult to choose a location in a city/town with which one has no familiarity; of course, the website will present the finest points and best pictures. Options would have been similarly located and situated hotels; one must pay considerably more for a more luxurious hotel; everything in Siem Reap is expensive, based on all items priced in US dollars; food, guide, car, as expensive as Hong Kong. I went to see Angkor Wat and I am pleased I did so. Hotel arranged for guide and car for visiting the Angkor sites; it was very humid and I could not have covered the amount of area required without the a/c car and guide, but I am not a backpacker/youth. I am 70.That makes a big difference. Steep airport departure tax: $25 US.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Angkor is an archeological park, not one site "Angkor Wat" (it is but one of numerous options). I suggest reading a guide book carefully, and attempting to find a street map before selecting a hotel. I heard some folks at restaurants talking about the usefulness of a pool at the hotel after a day at the park. Ta Prohm does not have a pool.

I have stayed at Ta Prohm before and this is one of the best hotels in Siem Reap. The location is perfect, you can walk to the main touristy places, there are numerous food options 5 min away from the hotel. The staff is nice, breakfast is good. I asked for an early check-in and got it. Excellent stay. I strongly recommend this hotel.

excellent service good location

Breakfast could be better eg freshly baked bread

An excellent hotel, with extremely helpful staff. Rooms and indeed all of the hotel was spotless and smelling of polish. Very good value for money. Plenty of choice for breakfast, though fresh baguettes would have been nice. Very centrally located, but still quiet. The staff were always welcoming at all times of day.
