Smart beach hotel
Good location + very clean western standard
7.3
Coolabah is a western run hotel right near the Occheateul beach. Unlike other hotels around this locale it is very clean and well managed, with a good smallish room with the basics and a small lap type pool. The best point is the cafe with good atmosphere along the beach road and very good food. A bit expensive for low tourists.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Recommend going to the Occheauteul Beach which is very busy and walking down the beach to the other end where it s quiet and very scenic.

nice hotel & location, big smile & friendly
9.3
I will stay at this hotel if I come to Sihanouk Ville again. I am working in tourism, I will recommend my tourists and friend. They free upgrade my room, it is soo nice.
I like the services with big smile, friendly and helpful people.
It takes just 5 minutes to the beach.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurant with delicious food

Great location and decent service
the hotel is located just around the block from the restaurant strip, and 3 minute walk from occhuteal beach

the hotel was clean and had a cute vibe to it. the pool was tiny and awkwardly situated, however, we were not there to lounge at the pool. the rooms are decent and serve the purpose and the restaurant was quite nice. the staff were really warm, it was a pleasant stay.
Travel tip:
If you're looking for some quality beach time, consider spending the weekend in Koh Rong or going to the beaches after Occhuteal beach. Occhuteal is a melee of people and felt quite filthy.

Very comfortable all rounder
Great bed, spacious room, very helpful staff, location 3min walk from beach

Very little negative to say - if you haven't been to sihanoukville and are a bit wary, it's a great choice. The staff will help with everything eg transport. Price- wise, it's at the upper end but still very reasonable. I would probably stay there again. The only negatives i can think of are that breakfast is not included (the only hotel of 4 we used in Cambodia to do this) and the shower was only adequate ( but set within a good bathroom).

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff
The rooms were large and the restaurant menu was great
9.3
The hotel was well kept and looked relatively new. The air con worked great and the bathrooms had hot water and were very large.
Restaurant Tip:
Great food all around and up on the hill. Walking distance to the beach.

rundown room and bathroom was in need of repair
6.3
after making a food order no mater what time of day and no mater if you were the only one ordering it would take forever to get your food. even a beer order would take a long time and the bar was only a few feet away. also dont bother ordering an hamburger they taste bland
Travel tip:
ask for a room on the first floor.

Lovely staff but dated place
Staff very helpful and great location
7.7
It's not the newest and most comfy hotel around but then again we're in Cambodia so it's hard to expect much. For the price we paid....the rooms were clean and decent....not terribly modern but it will do if you're there for the beach and not a resort-style holiday. The air-con could be strong too. However, the friendly and helpful staff makes up for it and the restaurant has better food than most of the other places we tried.

Lovely place with great staff
Great restaurant and a pool to cool down in

we really enjoyed our stay at the coolabah. this was our first time to cambodia and picking hotels to stay at was a challenge but we got this one right. the staff are so friendly and helpful, the restaurant serves great tasting meals and our room was clean and well maintained. the location is perfect as it is one door down from the corner of the main street and less than a 5 minute walk to the beach…. perfect location. shops and a supermarket were just on the other side of the road, so you have access to everything you need.
Restaurant Tip:
Don't go anywhere else for breakfast. We thought we would try other places and none come near the Coolabah. The big breakfast and omelette selections are huge and a great start to the day. For $4.00 you can have a great breakfast and not need to pay for lunch.... believe me, you will not be hungry come lunch time. From memory I think breakfast was available to 3.00pm.

Lovely hotel with great restaurant
Great seafood at the restaurant

what we loved about this hotel were the quiet room, the window and door of the rooms have a profile and close really well what keeps the noise out, so the pool right in front of the rooms doesn't matter. the hotel manager is british what made the communication a lot easier, but be careful what he recommends because we had the feeling he was always trying to guide us to his "friends" businesses... the restaurant is quite good, he was right about that.
overall i would recommend this hotel even that we found it a bit expensive, but that applies in our opinion to whole of cambodia.
