After a long day of hard sightseeing, it was just so good to get back to the hotel and relax. The tranquility was a blessing. The rooms (incl. the bathrooms) were kept very clean and comfortable.
The mosquitoes. I got bitten while having a drink outside the restaurant.
Went to Beijing with my partner on business and to spent our summer holiday. Started out on a hotel in the former olympic city, close to where my partner attended a congress. The hotel was expensive and the atmosphere was too businesslike. We had anticipated this and booked our stay (as soon as the congress was over)at Bamboo Garden in advance None of us knew Bamboo Garden from before. It was such a great choice. The tranquility was such a blessing after a hard day of sightseeing in Beijing. It was nice to get back to the rooms, beautifully decorated and clean. Stayed there for 10 days and will definitely recommend the place to friends in case they go to Beijing

Very quiet, peaceful garden environment; very helpful staff.
Although the Bamboo Garden Hotel is a bit hard to find the first time, with taxi drivers uncertain of the address, once I arrived I was charmed by the quiet garden setting. The room, decorated in faux-Ming style was comfortable. Free internet access is a real plus. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. The location a short walk from the no. 2 line of the subway was very convenient. I would stay there again.
