hotel room was clean. Management was happy to help and the location was awsome. lots of history as well as character in the hotel. highly recommended.
this hotel has a lot of historical character. It is centrally located in the heart of beijing close to wanfujing, famous padestrian street. there are good restaurants available at the hotel, but also close to the hotel. we had the standard room with a view of the main street. the hotel staff were very helpful and positive. the hotel is about 40min from the airport and easy to find. there is subway close to the hotel as well. i would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to have a luxurious stay in beijing.
Shopping Tip : wangfujing is very close to the hotel. also a short taxi ride to the silk market.

Close to everything that counts and if it's not close, just take the metro, it's 5 steps away. Large rooms and friendly staff. Comfy beds.
If you are picky it may seem a little old fashioned. Bathroom was. Water from shower came in trickles. Expensive internet.
With agoda specials, this hotel is hard to beat (taking the cons into consideration). Maybe I am biased, since I used my reward points.

It's big, elegant, located in the very heart of a very nice shopping street in very reasonable price. You can walk to experience a high-class afternoon tea or buffet dinner at Raffle's Beijing hotel in the same roof!
Beijing hotel is a nice, clean, reasonable-priced hotel which locates in the centre of shopping street (Wangfujing) along the corner of the great Chang An Avenue where we can walk to Tien An Muen and the Firbidden city in 10 min. I like the feeling of walking in the hotel, back from a long and tired day trip. It's so relaxing. The staff are fine and polite..comparing to average Chinese people. Their English is also fluent. Many nice things around the hotel to see. It's not a brand new hotel but from what we paid, this is a great hotel!
Shopping Tip : Bargain as much as you can on the shopping streets at Wangfujing street - but not at the hotel or other world-class branded shops in the mall.
