Incredibly low price, spacious room, good Internet speed

How do you like staying in a room that's dirty and stinks, with detachable shower head that only goes up to your chest level (and i'm not even 6ft/1.8 meters tall), sleeping on a hard bed that's uncomfortable, in a noisy neighborhood that's pretty hard to get to? The icing on this lousy cake, however, is the presence of an air-conditioner that occupants were not allowed to use. When i inquired at the front desk about the lack of a remote control in my room to activate the air-conditioner, i was told that it could not be turned on. Not a major issue, considering that Beijing's kinda cold that time of the year i was there, but a smelly and stuffy room needs ventilation, and leaving the windows open (helpfully suggested by the front desk) only lets in street/construction noise (i was on the 20th floor) and sunlight (rules out options of sleeping in).
It's often said you get what you paid for- i learnt that the hard way. Avoid, unless you are really on a tight budget.
Shopping Tip : There's a nearby flea market patronized by the locals for knick-knacks and kitschy items that will satisfy most people's need for travel memorabillia

Large sleeping room with kingsize bed and additionnal bed. Large living room with small kitchenette. Friendly and helpful personnel.
I had to claim for toilet paper! So called restaurant does offer only Chinese breakfast, no European breakfast and the room is quite dark. Mattress very (very) hard.
The location may surprise when you arrive (lot of buildings in construction) but you wont notice once in your room. Situated south east of Beijing you have to cross the whole town to get to the Summer palace. The kitchenette with its equipment however will (together with the CARREFOUR Beijing) to make your own European breakfast. Surprising and generous arrival gift. Free fruits. Problem of cleanliness can't be confirmed.

We are very impressed by the Asst. Manager's personnnel touch. She came to meet us during checking in and gave us a brief orientation of the apartment. She'd also given us her contact number just in case if we need help at Beijing. The service rendered to us is excellence and make our stay in Beijing a wonderful experience which we look forward to stay at Santuary again for our next visit.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel is located nearby the Natioanal Library, exit at Hwa Wei Bridge along the 3rd Ring Road, an easy landmark to let the taxi driver knows the location of the hotel.
