large rooms well situated for sightseeing

breakfast too expensive staff need to be able to speak a little more English especially concierge and reception staff more information leaflets for tourists, none available pool was too cold, and the steam sauna was broken!!!!

Hotel well situated for sightseeing, subways and shopping. Very close to heavenly park and Forbidden city. easy to walk to main shopping area. Hotel was very good, rooms excellant. Unfortuneately the pool was very cold and the steam/sauna broken.!We thought the breakfasts were too expensive so didn't eat in hotel, can't comment on food. Suggest having hotel written inchinese to show taxi drivers, and take as much tourist information with you as none available in hotels. If teavelling to wall be careful which bus station you go to as the one near Tiananmen is a package, alright if you want to go to Ming tombs and wall but limited time at wall.

Restaurant Tip : look at restaurants around the lakeside, especially the Vietnamese restaurant

good location, close to tourist areas, helpful and courtious staff.

over charged for the little things like laundry and internet, food, etc.

the staff was really nice and did a good job at making us feel welcome. our first room the air conditioning didn't stay cool so they upgraded us to the nicer room that has the seperate shower and bath i would recommend that room.. if you pay for the capital club membership each day you are suppose to get free internet and some lounge drinks everyday, a friend of mine recommends it.. i didn't do it and they charged me 100 yuan or about 15usd a day for internet and it didn't seem very fast, the laundry was over priced and i didn't see any other choices in the area for getting your clothes cleaned. if you didn't get breakfast included with your room just order room service.. paid 340 yuan for a terrible breakfast buffet, the japanese restuarant was pretty good... all and all i don't think i will be staying at this hotel on my next visit to beijing.. in this day and age charging extra for internet, and especially that much is just rude and ruins all the good impressions i had about the hotel

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : never ever get a ride from a rick sha or took took guy.... they say 3 yuan of 30 yuan... then when they've gotten you pretty much not where you told them to take you they pull out there price list card that says 300 yuan

Close to Wangfujing and Tiananmen Good food Room is clean and big enough

One of the tower is quite far from the lobby Take a little bit time to check in No local food stalls nearby

This is our first time staying at this Capital Hotel. Lobby is nice with pianist and violin player. My daughter and father in law are very happy with the rooms, they are clean and the bed also quite big. Our rooms are facing the street so we can see the hustle and bustle of Beijing. Wangfujing and Tiananmen are in walking distance. Don't forget to try the chinese food at their restaurant or cafe. We stay for 2 nights and if there is any chance we will come back and stay at this hotel again.
