It's located in the huttons and everything about the place reminds you where you are. This hotel is for the more adventurous traveller as there are no signs of vanilla international hotel chain here. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The services, facilities and location are exceptional good, you can easily access to all attractions, coffee shop and restuarants. I have a very pleasant stay in here. Couples Germany, February 02, 2013	Typical Hutong hotel within a pleasent district Old Courtyard, good breakfast, nice bathroom 4 The hotel lies within a nice old hutong district with tourist infrastructure. The next metro station can be reached by a 10 to 15 minutes walk along the main walking/cafes/shops street. Normal Rooms in the back are very quite. Exception: if you have rough room neighbours it can get very loud (thin walls). Nice decorated bathroom with a pleasant and big shower. At the time of our stay the drain of the washbasin was spreading a bad smell all over the bathroom. Thus, we always closed the drain after using the washbasin. The rooms have floor heating and in winter it was very warm. Beds are not perfect but comfortable.

We liked the overall heritage feel of the hotel with the traditional courtyard. We are lucky being upgraded our rooms. Front desk staffs are very helpful with smiling face.Our Special thanks to Nancy & Gao who help us booked our train ticket to Harbin. Some corners of the rooms a little dim but its comfortable & clean. Breakfast comes with very limited choice, thats a little disappointment ! Overall a very good stay. However, be prepared to walk quite a distance with your travel bags as taxi will only drop u off at the big road.

Families with older children United States of America, December 28, 2012	great location, beautiful hotel rooms are very well decorated, staff is friendly, helpful, and all speak english 10 the courtyard 7 is great. it's right off the tourist drag, which might be annoying for people with longers stays who have to walk down Nanluoguxiang every time they want to get somewhere. the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful. Hotel Feature Tip: this is the type of place where you want to get a deluxe room, it's worth it!

Inside Hutong district. Very helpful staff. Need some walking to reach the hotel. The rooms are very small, but we did not mind. Kind of dark rooms. Will definitely stay again if we are in Beijing for two to three nights. Not good for longer stays.

Couples Singapore, November 14, 2012	Friendly service crew and nice hotel authentic oriental feel, good breakfast 8.7 I was here with my girlfriend during the winter seasons and we decided to pick courtyard 7 according to trip adviser. Was definitely a good place to stay as it was very different from a hotel. Rooms have a special feel as it was made mostly of oriental furniture. They provide hair dryer and other toilet necessities. Theres even a radiator light in the showers to keep the temperature warm while showering. It is near pubs street and has many snacks shops. Travelers can visit the pubs at night but travelers who can't speak mandarin may have problem communicating. Cons: a bit far from the subway. Need to walk 15mins + to reach the hotel.

Families with older children Malaysia, October 28, 2012	Lovely hotel and great service Environment of the hotel is extremely nice 9.7 The hotel location is a little bit hard to reach because less taxi willing to drive to the hotel doorstep and cars are difficult to get in. But all this are worth when you get into the hotel, the environment and staffs are super nice. At night, there are various restaurants, bars, boutiques, souvenir shop and so on are available in Nanluoguxiang which is near to the hotel. You won't get bored during your stay with the hotel. Recommend this hotel to all, worth it.
