Was a very quiet hotel, with a good location, very near to Tianammmen square and Forbidden city. And just a few minutes walking from the tube station. And near to a very comercial street with a lot of shops.
The staff were nice and very hepful. The break fast was just ok,the room was big, very warm (was snowing) and the bath-room was big too.
A good choice for tourists.
Travel tip:
You dont need to get a taxi, the tube is very ner

"Ideal location, fast internet and great service"
In a historical neighborhood, just a one-block warlk from Wangfujin and No.1 subway, 2 blocks form Tianamen.
8.7
faster internet than most 5-star hotels in beijing for anyone in need of 24-hour connection. cleaniless, honesty in pricing, and attentiveness to traveler needs and other western standards of management are adhered to with chinese friendliness. fabled and fabulous neighborhood, within a gem of hutongs right on the outside of the imperial palace, and the day's inn architecture fits into the low-rise style of the area. some of the second-floor rooms above and behind the reception area have windows that overlook the old tile rooftops.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Just up Nanheyang "dumpling" Street, a left turn into an alley puts the walker into the quiet garden of what was a Tibetan Tantric temple from the Mongol and Ming Dynasties. Further up Nanheyang, another left put the diner into a good wood-fired roast duck restaurant just outside the East Gate (the Eunuch's gate) of the Forbidden City, on the same road as barbecue lane and Lotte department store. Capital's best nighttime scenery is a slow walk from the East Gate to the West Gate through the Forbidden City - no admission, no crowds, no lines and the towers are often beautifully lit. On the other side, What? Bar awaits. Check out the 500-year-old red date tree between the Day's Inn and its annex, a pleasant place to sit in the shade under what was a sapling in the Ming Dynasty.

Great Location and Clean Rooms
Great location -- near major tourist attractions of Beijing, e.g. Wangfujing Street, Forbidden City, Tiannamen Square.
8.7
The hotel's location is it's plus factor. You're not far from the tourist attractions nor have difficulty getting to a public transportation. The rooms are kept clean. The persons in charge of the tours were very helpful and accomodating.
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel is just a walking distance from the famous Wanfujing Street where you can enjoy a variety of great food and shopping.

Great location and value for money
Conveniently located, nice money changing machine in the lobby
8.7
We decided to stay in this hotel due to its proximity to a subway station and reasonable rates. We were quite satisfied with our stay however, a housekeeper barged into the room without knocking. Also, the wifi did not work very well. However, for the price, I don't think you could do any better in Beijing.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Use the money changing machine at the lobby. it's cool!

Comfortable and Quiet Hotel in a Great Location
Near Tiananmen Square, Subway Station, Shopping Malls & Night Market

As a solo traveler, this hotel gave me a great deal for my money. Amenities were complete, I had wifi connection and their cable tv has some English channels like HBO and CNN (not much but at least there's a few). The hotel has some tours available and even if I just register on the actual date of the tour, they are still able to accommodate me. The hotel has breakfast buffet and a souvenir shop. I also like the atm machine in the hotel that allows me to change my US Dollar to Chinese Yuan. I didn't see much money changer (plus my stay included weekends where banks are closed) so this allowed me to have some converted cash. The staff was friendly and those in the front desk spoke English. Even if there was a bit of diffulty with some translation, they were accommodating and tried to know what I need.
Shopping Tip:
When shopping, most transaction are cash-based so make sure that you have enough CNY (credit cards are normally just used for big stores or factories for Jade, Pearl, Silk). For money change using the ATM in the hotel, make sure that your denomination for US dollar is $100 since that is what the machine accepts. In China, it is normal to barter or bargain when a price is quoted. When you are given a certain amount, try to bargain 30% of the amount quoted (some even start the bargain with 10%).

Great location, fantastic service attitude
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, value for money
8.7
Stayed here for 3 days. When I checked in, I realized I made a mistake on my booking and was only due to check in the following day. The front desk staff gave me access to the hotel lobby wifi so that I can fix my booking and waited patiently for me to resolve this issue. All the hotel staff from the front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful.
Great location and good service aside, I thought the bed was really comfortable and the pillows were overly soft. The flat screen TV was nice, and the internet connection was OK.
There was some water stain on the carpet near the bathroom, but other than that, everything was just perfect.
I really enjoyed my stay here and will probably stay here again.

Nice Hotel, friendly staff, and great location
Nice location to great resaurants and shopping. Close to Tianaman Square.
7.7
The only bad thing is that it was about a 1:20 taxi ride from the Airport. The rooms were small by American standards, but cozy and adequate. The hotel staff spoke adequate English and was more than accomodating. This was a very nice location in Beijing and seemed very safe.
Restaurant Tip:
Walk down the street and follow your nose. Great local resaurants on every corner and alley. Everyone was very friendly and the food was phenominal.
