Great Location but staff not helpful

booked a deluxe king but this room was unavailable when i arrived. i was upgraded for one night at no extra cost. the upgraded room was fantastic but beyond my budget. following day i relocated what a hassle when on a business trip - its the last thing you want to do.
i wanted to book a taxi to the airport reception would not / could not book it for me. they have a shuttle bus from the hotel which does not go at the time you want and the price is higher than for a taxi.
reception staff were not helpful - will not use this hotel again.

Location - 10 minuttes to tianaman square.
free wifi in lobby, close to tianaman square, staff speak good english.

i stayed here for 2 nights in june, check in was very quick and the staff spoke good english and were happy to check me in. the room was clean, with decent choice of tv channels and also nice shower, shampoo and soap. from the hotel you can walk to the market / shopping area, or in the other direction tianamen square, so the location is perfect for sigtseeing. also beijing metro is close by.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The hotel can buy you train tickets, just ask at reception. They will check availability and give you the ticket cost. They will charge a comission of 20 yuan (about 3 dollars). The train ticket will be delivered to the hotel within 3 hours. This is great because it saves you going to the train station!

The hotel is located in a great location within walking distance to the Forbidden City. The rooms are very small and carpets are rather dirty. We have lived in China for three years so we weren't expecting much with this hotel but were still disappointed. The staff was very incompetent and didn't speak very good English. Even with our limited Mandarin, it was difficult to communicate with them. The price was good but I wouldn't stay here again.

Overall it's a decent room. Nice design and comfortable bed. The hotel is situated in town near Wang Fu Jin where can easily find food around the area.

I disliked most of the features of the hotel. I can say that the staff was friendly but the rooms are not nice at all, with dirty carpet and i didnt feel very comfortable there. The food in the restaurant is not good, the breakfast was not good and its expensive for the quality. They had yogurts which the expiry date was over.
I choose this hotel because of the location and because the price is according to a medium class hotel, but it wasnt, its low class.
Its has one more positive thing: internet.
The location is good: forbidden city, the famous wangfujing street. Its super crowded but its nice to go there.
