GreenTree Inn West Beijing Hotel, Beijing

Unfortunately Agoda forgot to put down the full and complete address of this place. I was trying to find the place. Taxi driver wanted 100rmb afterward, settled it with 50rmb, perhaps double to what would have been recorded on the meter. 'Classy business' is two words that best describes this hotel. Sure the rooms were a bit small, particularly the bathroom, the general design is not the best but they make up in the furnishings. Coat hangers, desk, side desk, stool/chair were classy. Rooms were promptly cleaned everyday, with new towels provided. I stayed 2 extra days, they charged me a lower rate, which I was quite pleased with. They generally have one English speaking staff on hand. The rest knew a little English. Funnily the rickshaw drivers along tianmen square had better English, but that can be said for most of the hotels Ive run into so far. The food dining hall didn't look too inviting, I chance to come down when they were serving something, wasn't appetizing to say the least. Your best bet is to go out side and eat, turn left outside, within 10m there is a very good restaurant, price reasonable, many dishes. Their specialty is skewer bbq meats. All in all, a nice place to stay. Excellent value for money. Very close to West Beijing Rail station. Cost me 2 rmb to get to station. Bus 4, (change at lulu xiao bei) for bus 616.
